Aerocool has recently supplemented its PGS-B enclosure series with a new product – XPredator X3. This chassis is delivered in mid-tower format and supports motherboards of micro-ATX and ATX form-factor. It is mainly targeted at consumers who spend much of their time playing games or working with various applications. The new model goes in three color versions: White Edition where the chassis features white and black coloring, Devil Red Edition where red and black colors dominate, and Evil Black Edition where black color is combined with orange. The manufacturer equipped its chassis with LED lighting of blue, red and orange tints, depending on the predominant color.
The well-known in IT-maker Company MSI announced about appearance of new videoadapter based on GPU Tahiti XT chipset. Its diversity from the other Radeon HD 7970 can be seen with the naked eye, instead of an air cooler practically the entire surface of the PCB is covered with waterblock brand EK. It differs markedly from the original version, since it is designed specifically for the MSI R7970 Lightning model. Relation of adapter to the Lightning series is easily determined by the inscription at the interface connector PCI-E 3.0 x16, as well as non-standard set of video outputs (2x DVI, 4x Mini DisplayPort) and configuration of additional power connectors (2x PCI-E Power 8-pin).
Western Digital, a successful supplier of HDD solutions and other consumer electronics, has started the delivery of its new compact hard drives series. Codenamed WD Green, this series boasts the maximal volume capacity (2 TB) in the 2.5-inch HDD market sector. The company claims that WD Green is a perfect match for PCs that require efficient additional storage disks, for external hard drives, as well as, for devices requiring practically enormous volume facilities. At the same time, WD Green is capable to ensure low working temperatures and noiseless operation.
