Japanese company NEC has prepared a unique laptop VersaPro UltraLite VG for state market of the rising sun. The use of light materials and advanced components has reduced the weight of a 13.3-inch laptop up to 875g total.



The body of ultrabook is made of magnesium-lithium alloy and has thickness of 14.9 mm. The product is designed for business travelers who need high performance in small form factor. The «heart» of the laptop is dual-core Core i7-3517U (Ivy Bridge), operating at a frequency of 1.9 GHz to 3 GHz, depending on the load. To it was joined by 4 GB of RAM SO-DIMM DDR3 and a 128-gigabyte SSD-drive. Built-in Intel HD graphics 4000 (350/1100 MHz) will provide an opportunity to play casual games on the screen with a resolution of 1600x900 pixels and LED-backlit display. The company Lian Li announced the launch of a new computer case — PC-V650. New made is entirely made of aluminum and is designed to fit motherboard ATX and Micro-ATX, but because of non-standard side location of the power supply, it is lower than most peers.



Power supply (maximum length is limited to 230 mm) is mounted in the lower right side of the case — exactly opposite of expansion cards. In terms of composition and temperature regime the model is controversial, but it allows reducing the height. On the other hand, the case has turned out quite wide. In general, new dimensions can be expressed by the formula 427 x 251 x 360 mm, provided with seven slots for expansion cards.

Lian Li PC-V650 allows setting a standard size 5.25 ODD and eleven drives: seven 3.5-inch and four 2.5 inch. Bottom basket for hard drive is made removable: if to take it out, there is the possibility to use graphic card up to 370 mm. Regarding the maximum height of CPU cooler, it is 120 mm.
