Abee, a company that earned popularity thanks to its high-end and unusual in design PC cases, is going to launch a pair of new top chassis, codenamed ACubic CP330 and Acubic CP730. Both models are distinguished by small-sized dimensions and by a truly high price. In this respect, Abee is going to beat Lian Li that is known for its rather costly casing solutions.



The developer houses its two new products in aluminum cases that are peculiar for their original design, with the combination of black and silver tints on the frontal panel to somehow resemble a chessboard. As it was mentioned above, pricewise, the models are an expensive solution targeting customers with specific requirements. Thus, ACubic CP330 cost approximately $330, while its companion, ACubic CP730, rises up to $365.

Zotac is going to replenish its line of compact PC devices with two new nettops. To be precise, with two versions of a single model: ZBOX nano XS AD13 and ZBOX nano XS AD13 PLUS. Both versions feature 11x11 mm dimensions and are based on two-core AMD E2-1800 processors with the nominal clock frequency of 1.7 GHz. Similar to other ZBOX products, AD13 promotes for the wide functional facilities along with pocket-size dimensions. One of the peculiarities found in these products is a modified memory subsystem: instead of a traditional hard drive, Zotac implements a high-performance SSD with mSATA interface.



Models AD13 and AD13 PLUS employ AMD Hudson-M3L system logics, A68M chipset and AMD Brazos 2.0 platform. The implemented CPU secures the support of 64-bit OS and hardware virtualization, despite the belonging to ULV class. Both nettop variations are equipped with 2048MB of DDR3-1333 memory type. Its PDF-version has recently appeared online and immediately called attention of all interested parties. The most unexpected news concerned the long-awaited Steamroller micro-architecture. According to AMD, the debut of an advanced architecture will be accomplished in the current year, not in 2014 as it was informed earlier. Steamroller will be incorporated into an updated series of AMD Opteron server processors which are to ensure an improved efficiency level on parallel data processing operations.


The other promising piece of news touches upon the launch of a new APU series already this year: AMD Kabini and AMD Temash. Kabini is going to replace Brazos platform employed in small-sized multimedia systems and other hand portable solutions.
