Point of View GeForce GT 640: power-efficient graphics

Company Point of View has presented the first card of GeForce 600 category — Point of View GeForce GT 640, created on the basis of GPU nVidia.



GeForce GT 640 is a power-efficient graphics processor with little heat-emission index. It is developed in compliance with 28 nm technological process and based on Kepler architecture. GPU is equipped with 384 universal processors, and supports key technologies nVidia, such as adaptive vertical synchronization, smoothing FXAA and nVidia Surround — a technology that allows to connect up to three monitors simultaneously. Also the model supports stereoscopic 3D mode.


Graphics card Point of View GeForce GT 640 has got three video outputs — Dual Link DVI, HDMI and VGA, and is available in 1 GB and 2 GB video-memory versions of DDR3 type. In comparison with the previous generations of GeForce grapics cards, new nVidia GeForce GT 640 boasts high efficiency showings — up to 30%.

Foxconn Introduces Two Motherboards on Intel NM70 Chipset

Foxconn is proud to introduce a pair of new mini-ITX motherboards, developed on Intel NM70 chipset. Entitled D70S-P and D70S-PD, this couple is intended for the incorporation into small-sized, power-saving and low-noise PCs, workstations, network and multimedia stations. Both new-comers are initially equipped with two-core Intel Celeron U1037 CPUs (Ivy Bridge generation). They operate at 1.8 GHz and consume 17 W only.



Foxconn D70S-P and D70S-PD feature an integrated Intel HD Graphics core that ensures smooth and quality imaging on movie watching (support for Full HD resolutions), game playing (with average demands), Internet surfing, and work with various applications. Cooling of all crucial components, including the key computing block, is secured by means of an aluminum heatsink with an onboard low-profile fan. Despite the dimensions, 170x170 mm only, the product allows for the incorporation of any contemporary hardware pieces.

Official Presentation of AMD G-T16R for Embedded Systems

AMD has replenished its product line with a new hybrid processor with appreciably low power consumption. G-T16R belongs to the Embedded G-Series line and is a part of AMD Brazos 2.0 platform. This APU is primarily destined for the embedded systems employment. AMD representatives stress out that G-T16R is an appropriate solution to be used in transport equipment, trade and cash desk stations, medical electronics, as well as in industrial administrative systems.



The company has managed to design its hybrid processor in a way to make it more saving than any other product of the same line. Thus, the average power consumption level equals to 2.3 W with Thermal Design Profile (TDP) of 4.5 W. Despite such low-power index, G-T16R is able to secure high performance showings which exceed the showings of the predecessor Geode LX three times as much.
