HIS Adds 7770 iCooler to Its Graphics Cards Arsenal

A new graphics card of an average efficiency has appeared in the arsenal of HIS manufacturers. Codenamed HIS 7770 iCooler (H777FN1G), the card is targeted those gamers who would like to receive a dual effect: the possibility to play all up-dated games and to satisfy all other graphics requirements for a reasonable price.



Model 7770 iCooler is based on AMD Cape Verde TX GPU, developed under 28 nm technological process and built on Graphics Core Next micro-architecture. It involves ten computing blocks and 640 current processors. The processing unit is expected to operate at the reference 1000 MHz clock frequency. The integrated GPU is accompanied by 1GB of GDDR5 memory which employs 128 bus; its nominal clock frequency starts at 1125MHz, while its effective frequency might achieve the margin of 4500MHz.

Meeting New Cooling System Brocken 2 from Alpenfoehn

Only a couple of weeks are left till the official release of a new cooling system Brocken 2 designed by Alpenfoehn. This is a long-awaited launch, since the fist version of the system, entitled Brocken, was honored to gladden the audience long time ago. Hereby, Brocken 2 has got a wee bit modified framework, if compared with the predecessor. Its dimensions together with a fan equal to 146x100x165 mm.



The base is shaped by means of five 6 mm copper heat pipes, tightly pressed together. Aluminum plates of the heatsink seem to be ‘cut’ in the center, unlike the one-piece construction of plates implemented in Brocken.


Active cooling power is ensured by a nine-blade fan of 140 mm standard size, known as WingBoost 2. The fan supports PWM technology that allows altering its rotational speed within the boundaries of 400-1100 RPM. The major peculiarity of new GeForce GTX 680 iGame is seen in the integrated gigantic cooler of passive type which is called to ensure the sufficient heat removal. The developers have exceeded all expectations by presenting the graphics cars with such an original design and elaborate framework.



Passive cooler implemented in GeForce GTX 680 iGame consists of two solid aluminum radiators with the copper heat tubes. Those tubes are joined with a jumper which has other six heat tubes.
