Release of Security Acceleration Module from Check Point

Check Point representatives have announced the release of their new creation Security Acceleration module. This module has been developed with the heightened security in mind, and according to the up-to-date hardware acceleration methodology with the consideration of the requirements stipulated by the high-performance environment.



Check Point is notable for the design of an advanced SecurityCore hardware-based technology which stimulated the development of a module with the firewall bandwidth of 110 Gbit/sec. At the same time, the latency level doesn’t exceed the margin of 5 microseconds. This technology employs parallel computing capabilities used for the process acceleration and safety. The module is equipped with 108 cores which allow the central processor to swap-out and transfer the vast majority of operations connected with the security issues to the Security Acceleration module. In its turn, this provides for the better safety options in network environment.

Zalman Introduces Highly Efficient FX70 Passive Cooler

Zalman, a renowned South Korean designer of various hardware solutions, has recently introduced its latest CPU passive cooler, entitled FX70. The new-entry features 110x140x158 mm dimensions and comes without any fans. However, if there is a need to cool down CPUs with the TDP level higher than 80 W, the customer is free to enhance the facilities by adding two 120 mm fans. The latter are fixed to the heatsink by means of four brackets.



Zalman FX70 is an optimal choice for the following platforms: Intel LGA 2011/1366/115x/775 and AMD FM2/FM1/AM2/AM2+/AM3/AM3+. This cooler fits in any mid-tower ATX and larger PC chassis. Gigabyte Debuts with Socket AM1 Motherboards

Gigabyte is the first among AMD’s partners to introduce proprietary motherboards for an upcoming Socket AM1 platform. Initially the AM1 series will comprise only two models: the GA-AM1M-S2P and the GA-AM1M-S2H. Both feature micro-ATX form-factor and are supposed to house AMD Athlon/Sempron APUs. They employ two DIMM slots for the integration of up to 32 GB DDR3 memory with 1600 MHz frequency. The release is scheduled for March when the platform is officially introduced.
