Kingston Showcases New Enterprise-Class SSDNow E50

Kingston, an outstanding developer of various data storage solutions, has recently introduced a new series of solid-state drives intended for enterprise use. Entitled SSDNow E50, the products feature a standard 2.5-inch design and are available in three capacities: 100 GB, 240 GB and 480 GB correspondingly. The new-comer employs SATA III 6 Gb/sec interface and MLC NAND synchronous flash-memory.



Kingston SSDNow E50 takes LSI SandForce-SF2581 controller as the basis. It ensures rather high performance showings. With the purpose to guarantee a stable operation of the drives, to minimize data transfer errors and reduce the cell wear, the manufacturer furnished the models with DuraClass, DuraWrite, S.M.A.R.T., and RAISE technologies. As a result, Mean Time between Failures is estimated as 1.000.000 hours.

Intel to Take Care about Power-Efficiency of Ivy Bridge Processors

The rising competition between the two giants in the manufacture of processing units, Intel and AMD, makes each of the two invent ever newer technologies and implement them in their products. SilverStone Supplements Its Production Line with SG05-Lite PC Case

SilverStone Technology, a Taiwanese designer of high-performance cooling systems and steel/aluminum chassis, is going to supplement its production line with a new PC case SG05-Lite that joined SilverStone Sugo series. An official release is scheduled for early May and the manufacturer has already unveiled the recommended price for the product: about €33. The case is developed in mini-ITX form-factor and features 276x222x176 mm dimensions.



PC case SG05-Lite is made of stainless steel but for the frontal panel that is made of plastic. The model will be available in two color variations (totally black and totally white) and will be beneficial for the assembling of high-efficiency but small-sized systems.
