Evga Launches One More Overclocked Graphics Card

Evga, a leading American supplier of 3D cards, is going to launch one more graphics card with factory overclocked speeds. A new model is based on Nvidia FeForce GTX 670 adapter and codenamed as Evga GeForce GTX 670 FTW LE. Its design resembles the one implemented in GeForce GTX 670 FTW card, but the main distinction between them is seen in frequency showings. The newbie demonstrates a bit lower frequency index than its predecessor.



Evga GeForce GTX 670 FTW LE is housed on a PCB designed for PCI-e 3.0 x16 bus. This card takes GK104 graphics core with 1344 CUDA cores as the basis; it is developed on Kepler architecture under 28 nm standards. Its inventory also embraces 2GB of GDDR5 memory (256-bit interface). Cooling system is introduced by a 2-slot cooler of active type with a single turbine-like fan. Xilence Company has presented a kilowatt power supply unit of XQ series

Taiwanese company Xilence released two PSU of unusual design — XQ Series of 750 and 850 W capacities. In contrast to usual offers on the market, these PSU are equipped with a pair of 60-mm fans. It has separate adjustment of speed and can operate in a completely passive mode at a load of up to 20-30%.



Recently, Xilence added to the above-mentioned series a power supply with nominal 1000W. New model in the pre-sale testing was certified with 80 Plus Platinum, which indicates the level of efficiency from 90% to 94% in the system of 230 V. Like its predecessors, the unit uses a modular principle of cabling, active power factor correction mechanism and complies with ATX12V v2.3 and EPS12V v2.92 standards. As it was expected earlier, the card is based on GK104 graphics chip (on Kepler architecture) with 1152 CUDA cores, 32 ROPs and 96 TMUs. Its nominal clock frequency makes up 980 MHz, still this index might be overclocked at average to 1033 MHz.



Reference adapter is furnished with 2 GB of GDDR5 memory that employs 256-bit interface. Nonetheless, Nvidia does not exclude the possibility of introducing the models with 4 GB memory capacity.
