They Did It! Official Release of AMD Radeon HD 7990 ‘Malta’

Much rumored reference graphics adapter from AMD has been recently officially introduced. As it was suggested before, Radeon HD 7990, codenamed ‘Malta’, employs two Tahiti XT2 GPUs, each of which contains 128 TMUs, 32 rasterization blocks (ROPs), and 2048 current processors (GCN architecture). Smooth work of both graphics cores is synchronized by means of PLX PEX8747 controller that supports 48 lines of PCI Express 3.0. Nominal clock frequencies ascribed to GPUs operation equal to 950 MHz, but Turbo mode enables the increase of frequencies up to 1000 MHz.



Video memory is represented by GDDR5 memory modules, the overall capacity of which equals to 6 GB (3 GB per each graphics core). Memory modules utilize 384-bit bus and run at 6000 MHz frequency with bandwidth of 288 Gb/sec per core. LG Introduces a New Series of PC Monoblock Units

LG Electronics established the reputation as the global manufacturer of consumer electronics long time ago, but it still amazes the community with ever newer products and approaches. Thus, lately the company has 'shared' the news about the forthcoming delivery of its monoblock units which belong to V720 series. The first two models to appear in the open sale will be V720-D.AE50K and V720-U.AE30K. The basic distinction of both units will be their ultra-thin casings and the integration of all chief system elements at the stand base.



The two models are promised to have as similar specifications, so different features to comply with various needs. Both are furnished with Bluetooth 4.0 modules, TV-tuner, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/b, card reader. There are USB 3.0 sockets, HDMI socket, and loudspeakers of 7W efficiency. Corsair Hydro H100i GTX: Ambitious Liquid Cooler for High-End Systems

Enthusiast-targeted company Corsair is coming to the market with a new high-performance CPU liquid cooler that replenished Hydro Series. Entitled Hydro H100i GTX, it boasts a tool-free mounting and trouble-free maintenance. The model is compatible with all CPUs which support Intel LGA 115x/1366/2011/2011-3 and AMD FM1/FM2(+)/AM2(+)/AM3(+) platforms. Pricing is set at $120, backed by a 5-year’s limited warranty.



Featuring 276x125x30 mm dimensions, Corsair Hydro H100i GTX consists of a small-sized waterblock with a copper plate, 240 mm dual heatsink, and a pair of 120 mm fans (Air Series SP120L). The latter support PWM technology that allows the blades to accelerate up to 2435 RPM depending on the CPU temperature. Both fans produce 70.69 CFM airflow at 37.7 dB noise level.
