Within the Framework of OCP U.S. Summit 2018 Seagate Technology Introduces the 14 TB Seagate Exos X14 HDD

Currently the Seagate Exos X hard disk drives family contains of two models – the 10 TB Seagate Exos X10 and the 12 TB Seagate Exos X12. These products are constructed for data centres and cloud storages. During the OCP U.S. Summit 2018 event the American manufacturer has introduced its new top-rated HDD of the series mentioned, called Seagate Exos X14. The capacity of the device is 14 TB.



The specialty is produced in a regular 3.5-inch form factor with the PMR (Perpendicular Magnetic Recording) technology applied. Supposedly, the novelty is built on the latest platform utilizing nine 1.55 TB platters. However, this information has not come from the vendor. The spindle rotates at 7,200 rpm.

New model works at higher frequencies, and supports dynamic overclocking. Into the configuration of Club 3D Radeon HD 7970 royalAce inserted 2048 stream processors. Nominal of core is 1050 MHz in normal mode and 1100 MHz in 3D-games. GDDR5 memory chips make total of 3 GB and operating at 6 GHz, the memory bus is 384 bits.



Club 3D Radeon HD 7970 is notable by its effective use of a proprietary cooling system. EK Water Blocks Releases a Specialty, Intended for EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti FTW3 Graphics Cards

The EK Water Blocks manufacturer released a water block meant for EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti FTW3 video cards, equipped with the GDDR5X memory, operating at the 11 GHz QDR rated frequency.



Like other EKWB products, the novelty is compatible with liquid cooling systems utilizing pumps of an average efficiency. The liquid can flow directly and inversely. According to modern tendencies, EK Water Blocks supplies a hook-up terminal with a plastic overlay, reporting a graphics accelerator’s model name.


The water unit base is performed out of nickel-plated copper and connected to a GPU, memory chips and power components. The decorative part of this product can be made out of black or transparent polymeric material. The transparent element presupposes the presence of two LED locations.
