A new gaming chassis has replenished the line of PC hardware developed by Chieftec. Codenamed Dragon DX-02B, the model is designed in midi-tower form-factor and can accommodate motherboards of ATX, micro-ATX and e-ATX standard. Internal layout is predestined for the installation of eight expansion slots, and six internal bays for drives which have an access from the frontal panel. Two of those bays support hot swapping option. Besides, the casing contains four bays for 5.25-inch drives.
Dragon DX-02B is able to house graphics cards of up to 34 cm in length. It should be mentioned that one of 5.25-inch bays might be employed for the integration of 3.5-inch drive (external panel or card reader). The model supports power supply units of ATX 2.3/PS II standard, the place for which is stipulated on the chassis' base. The interface panel is introduced by two USB 2.0 ports, one USB 3.0 port, a single eSATA port, and a couple of audio-out slots.
Transcend representatives has recently announced the launch of their new product 2.5-inch PSD520 SSD-drive. According to the company’s concept, PSD520 are destined to secure high performance showings as well as prolonged reliability. Such specifications were achieved due to the implementation of flash microchips with single-layer cell memory location (SLC). Those microchips are able to sustain up to a dozen times more rewriting cycles as compared with multi-layer cell microchips.
SLC microchips have an improved system of defects recovery which enables more efficient operation of the correction system. Moreover, SLC is distinguished by the lesser correlation of defects number per rewriting cycles; such peculiarity allows the correction system to identify the problem and to execute the recovery much faster. As a result, PSD520 drive manifests promising showings in start-up time, as well as the advanced system sensitivity and high data transfer rate which approximates up to 102 …
Compact motherboards have become frequenters in the computer hardware market since the tendencies of the past years diligently dwindle to the diminution of devices in dimensions. Thus, mini-ITX boards are currently implemented in the layout of desk-size gadgets and walk with vigorous strides to the market penetration. Developers from Asus company have put their ambitions into practice and introduced a new mini-ITX motherboard F1A75-I Deluxe. This mini-board can boast a number of options which are absent even in some full-length motherboards and offers excellent performance facilities.
Asus F1A75-I Deluxe is distinguished by the suitability of framework. Irrespective of its compact dimensions, the localization of all components on the board is rather suitable. The user won’t find any difficulties with reaching the necessary sockets in order to enable the drives, as far as they are located on the board edge. The same convenience is observed with the …
