Silicon Power, an established manufacturer of flash memory and solid-state drives, has announced the release of its 'fresh' SSD, codenamed Velox V70. The new series is developed in 2.5-inch form factor and based on SandForce SF-2281 controllers from LSI. According to the words of the company's press service, these SSDs are designated for the installation into desktop PCs, as well as laptops. The Velox V70 series includes models of 60, 120, 240, and 480 GB volume capacity.

Velox V70 casing is made of gold-color aluminum and goes in 100x69.9x9.4 mm dimensions. Connection to the PC is realized due to the integrated SATA 3.0 interface.
