New External Storage from Century Japan with Four Drives

Century Japan is planning to launch in home market its new external data storage system stipulated for the installation of four hard drives. Codenamed CRCH35U3IS, this storage features 260x130x185 mm dimensions. It is able to accommodate 3.5-inch, as well as 2.5-inch drives with dedicated adapters, which support SATA 3 6 Gb/sec interface. The storage is connected to the PC with the help of high-speed USB 3.0 port.



The availability of four switches on the frontal plate of the casing is thought to be a basic distinctive feature of Century CRCH35U3IS system. Those switches allow the customers to monitor the power supply for each drive independently.


The storage receives power from a built-in power supply unit, while the ventilation activity is secured by a fan, located on the rear part within the casing. It is controlled by means of PWM technology and a special thermal sensor that enables forced activation and deactivation of rotational process.
