Sapphire Continues Its Victorious Onset on Graphics Card Market

News about fresh releases from Sapphire gladdens all potential customers and IT specialists with enviable frequency. The most recent news touches upon the upcoming release of a fresh graphics card codenamed HD 7870 XT with Boost. This model is based on AMD Radeon HD 7870 adapter and employs Tahiti chip with 1280 current processors and 80 texture blocks. The chip is designed on Graphics Core Next architecture that secures its improved facilities. The model employs PCI Express 3.0 x16 interface.

The integrated GPU works at nominal 925MHz frequency, but on activation of PowerTune Boost option this index rises to 975MHz. Memory, that is represented by 2GB of GDDR5 memory standard, demonstrates 6000MHz frequency. It provides for 192-bit rail access. An inventory of video interfaces involves a couple of mini-DisplayPort outputs, a single Dual Link DVI-I and a single HDMI port. Moreover, this graphics card supports AMD Eyefinity technology that allows the connection of several monitors simultaneously.

Graphics card HD 7870 XT with Boost employs two-slot brand cooling system, codenamed Dual-X. The system is equipped with a large aluminum heatsink, several copper heat pipes, and a pair of 80 mm low-noise fans. It is known to support direct contact technology. The fans also support dust repulsion options that do not allow the dust and other litter to settle on the PCB and its major components.

Sapphire delivers its card with a brand TriXX utility that promotes for unimpeded adjustment of power voltages, frequencies and fan rotational speeds. In addition, it gives actual information concerning the general GPU temperature. This way, each customer will be able to achieve a desirable performance level.

The list of supported technologies include DirectX 11.1, OpenGL 4.2, OpenCL 1.2, DirectCompute 11, and a range of AMD brand developments: CrossFireX, HD3D, Stream, PowerPlay, Eyespeed, ZeroCore, PowerTune with Boost.
