Solid-State Drive Verbatim SATA III 240 GB Review

With the appearance of first SSDs in the market the battle between traditional HDDs and new products has started. Manufacturers tried to implement ever better technologies in their creations or began developing both directions at once to succeed. Today the rivalry between the two types of drives has reached its peak, since each product offers advanced facilities and embrace practically all spheres where the need for data transfer and storage is required. Verbatim marches in step with contemporary requirements and launches SSD with SATA III interface and quite voluminous capacity.

General Peculiarities

SSD Verbatim SATA III 240 GB is delivered in an unobtrusive cardbox. The delivery kit is void of any accompanying components, so users will have to acquire SATA III cable or adapter for the installation into 3.5 inch bays by themselves. Nevertheless, it's possible to find a detailed user manual and 3-year limited warranty. This SSD model is distinguished by a simple design …

Release of Chassis Aresze Subverter 7650B with Efficient Cooling System

Aresze is going to release its new series of chassis developed in Mid-Tower form factor. Codenamed Subverter 7650B, these chassis are primarily intended at consumers with the heightened demands to the layout and integration but with rather 'modest' financial possibilities. Subverter 7650B series can boast an outstanding efficiency pertained to cooling down. In addition, the internal zoning and integration of this model are similar to that implemented in more costly line of products manufactured by Aresze.

Aresze took all efforts to achieve the maximal results applied to the efficient cooling down. Thus, the framework zoning for the airflow distribution has been designed according to the company's own technology. The bay designated for graphics cards, which can support the cards of up to 300 mm in length, can be applied for the wide range of solutions. The 120 mm fan is located at the top part of the chassis and serve the blowing out means; this way the hot airflow does not …

Spire Launches Ridge 6601 and Ridge 6602 PC Chassis

Spire has officially launched a new line of budgetary PC chassis, codenamed Spire Ridge. At the moment, there are only two models within the series – the Ridge 6601 and the Ridge 6602. Both are characterized by the support for ATX motherboards and have many other identical specifications: i.e. mid-tower form-factor, 192x415x418 mm dimensions. Still, there are some differentiations as well.

The first distinction between the two models lies in the frontal panel design. Therefore, Ridge 6601 features a laconic panel made of plastic without additional ventilation. In its turn, Ridge 6602 features a half-perforated metallic frontal panel that allows for a more intense cooling of internal components.

The couple boasts identical expansion facilities with two 5.25-inch buckets for optical drives, four 3.5-inch buckets for HDD/SSD, and seven expansion slots. Connectivity options are introduced by a set of frontal interfaces, including two audio slots, one USB 2.0, and one USB …
