Thermaltake Showcases an Original Bigwater 760 Pro Cooling System

Thermaltake Technology, a renowned Taiwanese designer of varied PC hardware pieces, is going to release its new original water-cooling system, codenamed Bigwater 760 Pro. This cooler is targeting powerful processors that require no less powerful cooling. The product demonstrates a wide compatibility with all novel processors that support Socket LGA775, LGA1366, LGA115x, LGA2011, FM1, FM2, AM2(+), and AM3(+).

Bigwater 760 Pro consists of three major parts: waterblock, head block and a couple of hoses. The implemented waterblock features nickeled-copper base of 45x35 mm dimensions. The head block features 252.8x145.8x84 mm dimensions and takes two 5.25-inch bays within the chassis. Its framework involves a pump, a heatsink and a tank for coolant.

The pump is based on a ceramic bearing and produces not more than 16 dB noise. Its performance level achieves 500 liters/hour, while Mean Time Between Failures index is estimated at eighty thousand hours. The integrated heatsink is …

Nvidia Debuts with GeForce GTX 770 Graphics Adapter

Trailed by the flagship GeForce GTX 780 model, Nvidia officially launches one more high-performance graphics adapter of 700 series, codenamed GeForce GTX 770. Albeit the two products are rather similar in design (i.e. the incorporation of identical two-slot cooling system), their layout differs considerably. First of all, GTX 770 employs less efficient graphics core Nvidia GK104-425-A2 (28 nm) with 1536 CUDA cores, 128 TMUs, and 32 ROPs. At the same time this GPU operates at higher frequencies: 1046 MHz (nominal), 1085 MHz (dynamic).

Nvidia’s new entry comes either with 2 GB or 4 GB video memory modules of GDDR5 type. They employ 256-bit interface and ensure high bandwidth of 224 Gb/sec. Memory operational frequency is truly striking, demonstrating up to 1752 MHz (nominal) and up to 7010 MHz (dynamic) index. It should be noted that models with 4 GB modules will cost $50 more than those with 2 GB items (the recommended price makes up $399).

MSI Announces Z170A PC Mate Mainboard

MSI has recently habituated to launching ever newer and more efficient mainboards. This time the company unveils Z170A PC Mate full ATX model that draws power via 24-pin ATX and 8-pin EPS sockets. It is based on Intel Z170 chipset and is estimated for Intel Core LGA1151 (Skylake) CPUs. The core cooperates closely with DDR4 3300 MHz memory (4 slots are available, two-channel mode), the maximal volume of which might achieve 64 GB.

MSI Z170A PC Mate comes equipped with 6-phase VRM system. The model is rich in expansion facilities: it offers one PCI Express 3.0 x16, one PCI Express 3.0 x4, three PCI Express 3.0 x1, and a pair of PCI slots. The connection of drives is realized due to 1x M.2 slot 32 Gb/sec, 1x SATA Express 16 Gb/sec, and 6x SATA III 6 Gb/sec.

As far as interfaces are concerned, this motherboard houses six USB 3.0 ports, four USB 2.0 ports, a couple of USB 3.1 ports, as well as three different video ports: HDMI 2.0, D-Sub and DVI. Besides, network connection …
