AMD has replenished its product line with a new hybrid processor with appreciably low power consumption. G-T16R belongs to the Embedded G-Series line and is a part of AMD Brazos 2.0 platform. This APU is primarily destined for the embedded systems employment. AMD representatives stress out that G-T16R is an appropriate solution to be used in transport equipment, trade and cash desk stations, medical electronics, as well as in industrial administrative systems.



The company has managed to design its hybrid processor in a way to make it more saving than any other product of the same line. Thus, the average power consumption level equals to 2.3 W with Thermal Design Profile (TDP) of 4.5 W. KingFast, a Chinese developer and supplier of high-end SSD solutions, decided to present quite a new approach in data caching by releasing a dedicated solid-state drive version. Model K25 Ultra-Cache is designed in 2.5-inch form-factor and is basically destined to fulfill various data caching procedures on availability of a slack HDD that can't cope with caching efficiently. In other words, this drive will add the required speed to the PC in which OS is installed on a traditional HDD. The most beneficial thing is that the customer won't have to deinstall OS in order to enhance the system by K25 Ultra-Cache.



This drive is equipped with 32GB of NAND MLC flash-memory and employs SATA 3Gb/sec interface. It should be mentioned that caching option is realized by means of a pre-installed Nvelo DataPlex program that facilitates all processes. The estimated consecutive Read speed achieves the margin of 270MB/sec, while consecutive Write speed is recorded at 190MB/sec.
