MSI Announces Middle-End Graphics Card N770 TF 4GD5/OC

MSI announces one more representative of MSI Gaming series – a middle-end graphics solution, based on GeForce GTX 770 adapter. Codenamed N770 TF 4GD5/OC, the new-comer boasts an original design, the availability of factory overclocking, the implementation of a brand cooling system, called Twin Frozr IV, and high-quality Military Class IV components. This model is targeting those users who would like to equip their PC systems with up-dated, reliable and high-yield components.

MSI N770 TF 4GD5/OC takes GK104 chip as the basis of its operation. This chip is developed under 28 nm Kepler microarchitecture with 1536 CUDA cores. Clock frequencies in OC mode exceed those performed by the reference model and make up 1137 MHz in nominal mode, increasing to 1189 MHz on dynamic overclocking. GK104 is accompanied by 4 GB of GDDR5 memory with 256-bit interface; memory modules operate at 1752 MHz frequency in nominal mode and at 7010 MHz on overclocking.

This graphics card employs PCI-Express 3.0 x16 internal interface. Thanks to the support of brand software, entitled Gaming App, the user is given a chance to select one of the three available operational modes: Silent, OC, Gaming. The latter is preset by default. On activation of Silent mode, it’s possible to witness the decrease in performance and the reduction of loading on cooling system.

As for the hardware base, nothing new has been introduced this time. The users will see already familiar Military Class IV concept, embracing Hi-C capacitors, solid-state capacitors, and new ferrite chokes. All of them promise to provide a stable, efficient and reliable work during long period of time.

The incorporated cooling system — Twin Frozr IV – is known to support MSI Airflow Control technology. The cooler itself consists of an aluminum heatsink, a copper base, five heatpipes, a protective shield, and a pair of 100 mm fans with Propeller Blade technology. Twin Frozr IV does not allow the GPU to warm up higher than 71 degree. On full loading this cooler produces not more than 22.81 dB noise.

Like other models based on GeForce GTX 770 adapter, MSI N770 TF 4GD5/OC supports the entire range of Nvidia’s brand facilities (FXAA, TXAA, GPU Boost 2.0, Adaptive VSync, Surround, SLI, Blu-ray 3D), along with OpenGL 4.3, Shader Model 5.1 and DirectX 11.1 technologies.
