Cougar has recently introduced a new power-saving PSU series codenamed GX-S. The series includes three high-efficiency models which meet the requirements of 80Plus Gold standard: GX-S 400W, GX-S 500W and GX-S 600W. Cougar promises that the products will be available in free sale already in early April. All three PSUs are housed in a black casing with golden logo and accommodate high-quality Japanese capacitors that ensure utmost performance and reliability.



Cougar GX-S series employs LLC technologies which are called to reduce the power loss on Off/On activities. The models also feature a power-saving framework to comply with Eco-Friendly EuP, ErP Lot6 and Energy Star 5.0 standards. Hence, the units consume less than 0.9W in ‘Off’ mode. Besides, GX-S units absolutely meet ATX12V specifications, support all novel (and future!) platforms on the basis of multi-core processors, as well as several graphics adapters with PCI-e 2.0 interface and 8-pin PCI-e connectors.

Codenamed A970M-A Deluxe, it is compatible with AM3/AM3+ APU and is characterized by the integration of the latest technological facilities which provide for efficiency, reliability, and ease of use. The release of the 4th generation Intel Haswell processors made a real stir last week. This turmoil left the launch of several Intel Ivy Bridge processors practically unnoticed. How strange as it might seem, but Intel keeps on supplying its 3rd generation products to comply with the needs of the vast majority of customers. Hence, a set of new CPUs consists of: five Intel Pentium models (G2140, G2120T, G2030T, G2030), three Intel Core models (i3-3245, i3-3250, i3-3250T), and a single Intel Celeron G470 model.



Each Intel Pentium processor features two cores and 3 MB of cache-memory. The nominal clock frequencies fluctuate within the measures of 2.6-3.3 GHz, depending on the model. All the models within the line are equipped with Intel HD graphics core. Intel Pentium G2030T and G2030 support two-channel DDR3 modules with up to 1333 MHz frequency, while their companions – Intel Pentium G2140 and G2120T – support DDR3-1600 MHz modules.
