Flash-Drives from SanDisk at IFA 2012

IFA 2012 is confidently picking up speed, allowing dozens of companies to introduce their creations. SanDisk came to the electronics exhibition with a handful of advanced devices, among which are upcoming flash-drive releases. SanDisk tech bench highlighted a couple of flash-drives with expressive codenames: Cruzer Edge and Cruzer Pop. It should be mentioned that both drives have already been announced by the company earlier this year, but now they are given the most prominence.

Cruzer Pop model is primarily oriented at non-corporate clients who will be glad to choose a flash-drive of bright color. The company delivers the model in several color gamuts and volume capacities (4GB, 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB). Cruzer Pop has got camp bed like framework and features 45x18x3.8 mm dimensions.

To continue, Cruzer Edge model is equipped with a retractable USB 2.0 socket and void of additional caps. The manufacturer paid much attention to safety measures, and due to this reason, the …

Cooltek Rolls Out Thermolab CPU Coolers

Enlisting up support of a well-known German manufacturer PC Cooling GmbH (Cooltek brand), Thermolab brought on the European market a pair of small-sized CPU coolers. Codenamed LP53 and ITX30, the products are differentiated by the depth of the copper plates and the dimensions of the pre-installed fan. Both new-comers are predestined for mini-ITX and micro-ATX platforms with Intel LGA1156/1155/1150 socket and 100 W TDP processors.

The Thermolab LP53 features 100x94x53 mm dimensions and weighs 410 g (including fan). It consists of a copper base, two 6 mm heatpipes, and 7-blade PWM fan of 92 mm dimensional type. The latter is able to rotate within the speed range of 1000 RPM to 2100 RPM, producing up to 27 dB noise. The cooler’s price does not transcend 37 EUR.

In its turn, the Thermolab ITX30 features 100x94x30 mm dimensions and weighs 300 g. It accommodates a copper base, a heatsink, two 6 mm heatpipes, and a single 80 mm PWM fan. It supports a wider speed range – from …

Palit Announces an Overclocked GTX 760 JetStream Graphics Card

Palit has replenished its line of gaming graphics adapters with a new model, codenamed Palit GeForce GTX 760 JetStream. It is differentiated by an original design of the PCB, a highly-efficient JetStream cooling system, and a factory overclocking. Outstanding overclocking potential is secured by the implementation of high-quality components, such as DrMOS MOSFET transistors.

The new-comer employs PCI Express 3.0 x16 interface and is based on GK104 GPU (28 nm Kepler microarchitecture). The core consists of 1152 stream processors, 32 ROPs and 96 TMUs. It runs at an overclocked frequency of 1072 MHz, but on activating GPU Boost technology, this index rises to 1137 MHz high. Such showings exceed the reference parameters at about 10%.

To continue, this graphics card is equipped with 2 GB of GDDR5 memory type that runs also at heightened frequencies. Hence, the nominal clock frequency makes up 1550 MHz, while GPU Boost increases this index to 6200 MHz. Memory subsystem employs …
