Entry-Level PC Chassis Sharkoon REX3 Series

After the release of REX8 series, Sharkoon decided to replenish its line of chassis with a new entry-level series. The series has been entitled REX3 and is currently represented by Value and Economy models. Both models are designed in Midi-Tower form factor and are ready to accept the motherboards of micro-ATX/ATX dimensional type. The other distinctive feature of the upcoming models is their price, which is targeted to attract the customers with modest and medium financial possibilities.

Chassis REX3 Value and REX3 Economy differ from their predecessors, REX8 models, by the availability of three instead of four bays for 5.25-inch drives which have the output to the frontal panel. The fourth bay is predestined for 3.5-inch drive; at the same time, the number of internal 3.5-inch bays remained the same and equals to four items. Deepcool Introduces a Universal IceEdge 400 E CPU Cooler

Deepcool Industries, a well-known Chinese designer of multifarious cooling solutions, is going to launch its newest universal CPU cooler, entitled IceEdge 400 E (Elite Edition). The new-comer has got a tower-type design and features 100x86x125.5 mm dimensions.

This model is predestined to be incorporated into all contemporary platforms, including Intel’s LGA775/1150/1155/1156 and AMD’s 754/939/940/FM1/FM2/AM2(+)/AM3(+). Moreover, it is able to cool down rather hot processors, which TDP level reaches 130 W.

Deepcool IceEdge 400 E consists of a heatsink block, featuring thin aluminum plates, four copper heatpipes that support direct contact technology, and a single 92 mm fan. The latter is based on a fluid bearing and develops speed up to 2200 RPM. The maximal noise level it is producing approximates 26 dB. The fan is fixed due to wire spikes.

Pricing and release date are still unknown.

MSI Updates Its Motherboard Line with X79A-GD45 Plus Model

MSI, a global designer of different PC hardware items, updated its ATX motherboards line with a new model X79A-GD45 Plus. As it’s seen from the codename, the board is based on Intel X79 Express system logics and is estimated for the integration of Intel Sandy Bridge-E CPUs for LGA2011 socket. According to preliminary information, a recommended price for the new item will fluctuate within the measures of $200-$250.

Motherboard X79A-GD45 Plus from MSI is furnished with 9-phase power subsystem and two heatsinks of different framework template. This subsystem has been developed with the implementation of DrMOS II technology relied on high-quality components which comply with Military Class III concept. Those components totally correspond to MIL-STD-810G standard in terms of stability and reliability of operation.
