Nvidia Debuts with GeForce GTX 770 Graphics Adapter

Trailed by the flagship GeForce GTX 780 model, Nvidia officially launches one more high-performance graphics adapter of 700 series, codenamed GeForce GTX 770. Albeit the two products are rather similar in design (i.e. the incorporation of identical two-slot cooling system), their layout differs considerably. First of all, GTX 770 employs less efficient graphics core Nvidia GK104-425-A2 (28 nm) with 1536 CUDA cores, 128 TMUs, and 32 ROPs. At the same time this GPU operates at higher frequencies: 1046 MHz (nominal), 1085 MHz (dynamic).

Nvidia’s new entry comes either with 2 GB or 4 GB video memory modules of GDDR5 type. They employ 256-bit interface and ensure high bandwidth of 224 Gb/sec. Memory operational frequency is truly striking, demonstrating up to 1752 MHz (nominal) and up to 7010 MHz (dynamic) index. It should be noted that models with 4 GB modules will cost $50 more than those with 2 GB items (the recommended price makes up $399).

Zotac Showcases Nano XS Nettops with Power-Saving Properties

Zotac is going to replenish its line of compact PC devices with two new nettops. To be precise, with two versions of a single model: ZBOX nano XS AD13 and ZBOX nano XS AD13 PLUS. Both versions feature 11x11 mm dimensions and are based on two-core AMD E2-1800 processors with the nominal clock frequency of 1.7 GHz. Similar to other ZBOX products, AD13 promotes for the wide functional facilities along with pocket-size dimensions. One of the peculiarities found in these products is a modified memory subsystem: instead of a traditional hard drive, Zotac implements a high-performance SSD with mSATA interface.

Models AD13 and AD13 PLUS employ AMD Hudson-M3L system logics, A68M chipset and AMD Brazos 2.0 platform. The implemented CPU secures the support of 64-bit OS and hardware virtualization, despite the belonging to ULV class. Both nettop variations are equipped with 2048MB of DDR3-1333 memory type. Graphics subsystem is represented by Radeon HD 7340 GPU with 80 current processors. …

Meet New Nifty Qs-240 Chassis from Aerocool

The lineup of Aerocool’s chassis has been replenished by a new classy PC case – the Qs-240. The model is designed in mini-tower format targeting micro-ATX or mini-ITX motherboards with maximum of 4 expansion slots. The inventory of external interfaces entails a pair of audio ports, the same number of USB 2.0 ports as well as a single USB 3.0 port.

Internal layout of Aerocool Qs-240 provides for two 3.5-inch drive bays & three 2.5-inch drive bays. Absence of high storage cages allows installing quite lengthy videocards (up to 320 mm) and quite high CPU coolers (up to 160 mm). ATX-compatible power supply unit is to be located in the bottom section of the chassis.

The case comes equipped with one 120-mm fan (rear). In addition, it’s feasible to integrate a pair of top fans and a pair of front ones (all of 120-mm dimensional type) which are accompanied by dust filters. Instead of frontal fans the customer might install 240-mm heatsink that is a part of a liquid cooling …
