Asus Introduces a New Powerful Motherboard Z87-A

The line of Haswell-compatible motherboards from Asus has been recently replenished with a new model – Z87-A. The new-comer is supposed to be the most ‘customer-friendly’ board, due to the correlation of incorporated facilities and price: based on the prime chipset (Intel Z87) on Socket LGA1150 platform, this board boasts an extreme functional combined with the price of $150 only. Motherboard Asus Z87-A is elaborated in ATX form-factor and supports Intel Core i3, i5, i7, Pentium, and Celeron processors. Asus is about to release another gaming monitor from Republic of Gamers lineup of products. Entitled Asus ROG Swift PG248Q, the new-comer employs 24-inch TN panel with Full HD resolution (16:9 aspect ratio). One of the most striking features ascribed to the model is superfast response time – 1 ms. The display is also characterized by the incorporation of an unusual stand base with the insertion of red-painted circle around the foot.



Asus ROG Swift PG248Q boasts the maximal possible refresh rate – 180 Hz (dynamically tuned from the nominal 144 Hz). The included panel offers 350 cd/m2 of maximal screen brightness, 16.7 m of displayed colors and wide viewing angles (170/160 degrees H/V).

Xigmatek to Release Dark Knight II CPU Cooler

Xigmatek, a multi-profile Taiwanese company, is about to launch its second version of Dark Knight CPU cooler – the SD1483. Featuring 120x50x159 mm dimensions, this tower-like device comes in two color variations: black and white (Frostbourne). The model supports processors with the utmost TDP level of 160 W, designated for AMD AM2/AM3/K8 & Intel LGA 775/1155/1156/2011 platforms.
