Thermaltake Riing 14 LED RGB Radiator Fan TT Premium Edition, Controlled Through the Smartphone Utility

In most cases one can manage fan options with the help of BIOS, special utilities from mother boards manufacturers or an external controller. The Thermaltake Company equipped a smartphone with this function while designing a Thermaltake Riing 14 LED RGB Radiator Fan TT Premium Edition (CL-F051-PL14SW-A) model, managed through the mobile app.



This is a 140 mm solution (140 х 140 х 25 mm). Its rotary speed lies in the range of 500–1,400 rpm, its maximum air flow rate is 73.91 CFM (126 m3/hr), its static pressure equals to 1.38 mm H2O and its noise level is up to 29.4 dB. Due to fluid bearings in the construction the guaranteed life span is estimated to be 40,000 hours. Connection is performed through the 9-pin USB 2.0 port.

Goodram Enters the Market with CX100 SSD Line

Wilk Electronic SA has just released a new line of solid-state drives under Goodram brand name. Entitled CX100, the drives are available in four capacities: 120 GB, 240 GB, 480 GB and 960 GB. All of them feature 7 mm depth and support 2.5-inch form-factor. Besides, they employ SATA III interface with 6 Gb/sec bandwidth. As far as pricing is concerned, the junior model (120 GB) costs 55 EUR, the two medium models – 84 EUR and 162 EUR respectively, while the senior one (960 GB) – 348 EUR.



The nominal delivery kit contains a dedicated adapter to fit 9.5 mm slots. These SSDs are known to support TRIM & SMART options as well as Garbage Collection technology. The latter protects the drive from the failure of power supply, optimizing the boot time and ensuring overall operational stability.

Deepcool Introduces a Universal IceEdge 400 E CPU Cooler

Deepcool Industries, a well-known Chinese designer of multifarious cooling solutions, is going to launch its newest universal CPU cooler, entitled IceEdge 400 E (Elite Edition). The new-comer has got a tower-type design and features 100x86x125.5 mm dimensions.


This model is predestined to be incorporated into all contemporary platforms, including Intel’s LGA775/1150/1155/1156 and AMD’s 754/939/940/FM1/FM2/AM2(+)/AM3(+). Moreover, it is able to cool down rather hot processors, which TDP level reaches 130 W.


Deepcool IceEdge 400 E consists of a heatsink block, featuring thin aluminum plates, four copper heatpipes that support direct contact technology, and a single 92 mm fan. The latter is based on a fluid bearing and develops speed up to 2200 RPM. The maximal noise level it is producing approximates 26 dB. The fan is fixed due to wire spikes.
