ASRock Unleashes Hyper OC Series of Overclocking-Oriented Mainboards

ASRock is thought to be an innovator in the development of hardware know-hows. The Computex 2016 came as no exclusion: the company introduced a lineup of overclocked mainboards which joined Hyper OC series. Initially, the lineup consisted of three models – H170 Pro4/Hyper, B150M Pro4/Hyper & H110M-DS/Hyper; further on, it will be replenished by three other models – Fatal1ty H170 Performance/Hyper, Fatal1ty B150 Gaming K4/Hyper & B150A-X1/Hyper.

As seen from the codenames, the motherboards are based on Intel B150, H170 and H110 chipsets which employ ASRock Hyper BCLK Engine controller; it overclocks Intel Skylake CPUs by means of BCLK alteration, without dislocating other components. The new-comers support the installation of superfast DDR4 RAM, graphics cards with PCI-e 3.0 x16 interfaces as well as voluminous drives (including Ultra M.2).

ASRock H170 Pro4/Hyper features the following specifications:

— chipset: Intel H170;

— memory: 4x DDR4;

— storage: …

The Cube-Shaped Desktop PC DB4 Fanless Silent SL by Orio Spec

DB4 Fanless Silent SL is a desktop PC in the form of the cube by Orio Spec. It possesses STREACOM’s mini-ITX case “DB4” without fans. Besides, this desktop PC makes no noise and is produced with a 3.20 GHz Intel Core i3-6100T dual-core CPU.

DB4 Fanless Silent SL’s mother board features an Intel HD video adapter (with one HDMI, one VGA and one DVI-D ports) and an Intel H110 Express chip set. The cube-shaped desktop PC is also configured with a 8 GB PC4-17000 DDR4 RAM (4 GBx2), a 120 GB SSD (Samsung 750 EVO), four USB 2.0 connectors, two USB 3.0 connectors and one Gigabit LAN (RJ45) port.

Speaking about operating systems one should admit, that the DB4 Fanless Silent SL is compatible with Windows 10 Home 64-bit or Windows 10 Pro 64-bit, which is optional.

This model is now estimated to cost approximately $1,084 or 120,000 Yen.

HIS Showcases New Graphics Card with Improved UVD GPU

The line of graphics cards manufactured by HIS has been recently replenished by an alternative Radeon HD 7950 IceQ Boost Clock model. The card takes a modified graphics adapter from AMD and is based on Tahiti PRO chip, developed according to 28 nm technological process. This chip houses 1792 current processors which are designed under an advanced Graphics Core Next architecture.

One of the major technological peculiarities pertained to a new model is the implementation of a unique two-slot IceQ cooler that involves an aluminum heatsink, four copper heat pipes and low-noise powerful fan. As claimed by the manufacturer, the integrated cooling system exceeds the cooler applied in the reference model in terms of heat dissipation power and noise. Hence, noise level produced by IceQ does not exceed the boundary of 28 dB; at the same time, it reduces the GPU temperature at 12 degrees as compared with the reference model.
