Enermax Outs High-Flown Twister Pressure Fan

One of the major requirements for an efficient CPU cooler is a high static pressure. The higher this index is, the more productive the blades are. Quite the contrary, the main requirement for a system fan is a volume of produced airflow, since it affects the air circulation within the case. Taking into account those facts, Enermax decided to elaborate a fan that would unite both demands. That is how Twister Pressure fan came into the market.



Enermax Twister Pressure is a high-efficiency fan targeting to be implementing within CPU cooling solutions. It is based on Twister Bearing 2, which framework has been optimized for a reliable operation under unfavorable thermal conditions (up to 85 degrees) and under high dust content. ID-Cooling Hunter Duet II Liquid Cooling System

ID-Cooling, being famous for its cooling systems, has released a Hunter Duet II cooler of large dimensions, which is supposed to transfer heat from the CPU and the graphics engine surfaces. This model is designed with a 360 mm heat sink, which is of great benefit to its efficiency factor.



The construction includes two water units with a base out of copper and built-in pumps, pipes in braided cable, the three-section aluminum 395 × 120 × 27 mm heat sink, three 120 mm fans, and an extraordinary framework with a 90 mm fan to blow over graphics card load-bearing elements and intensive plates for the CPU and GPU.


Though possessing similar construction, water units differ in lids design and the location of holes for liquid flow. At the moment their inner structure details are not available.

A compact fan to blow over VRM consumes 1.2 W. Its rotary speed is not higher than 1,500 rpm. The same ratio of each of the three main fans is not supposed to exceed 1,500–2,000 rpm.

Gigabyte Debuts with Mini-ITX Motherboard C1007UN-D

Gigabyte has officially introduced a new motherboard model C1007UN-D, developed in mini-ITX form-factor. As seen from the dimensions, the novice is intended to be employed within small-sized multimedia or industrial systems. Chipset Intel NM70 with the integrated two-core ULV processor Intel Celeron 1007U are considered to be the heart of the board. The CPU is cooled down by a compact active cooling system which involves an aluminum heatsink and a small fan.



Video subsystem is represented by an integrated graphics core that belongs to Intel HD Graphics series. The core runs at the nominal 350 MHz clock frequency, however this index might be dynamically increased up to 1000 MHz. Audio subsystem is realized by means of Realtek ALC887 controller that supports 7.1-channel sounding. Network facilities (LAN) are ensured due to a pair of gigabit controllers elaborated by Realtek.
