Enermax Puts on Sale Its New CPU Cooler Entitled ETS-T40-TAV

Enermax Technology Corporation, an established Taiwanese designer of multiple PC components, has already put on sale its newest cooler ETS-T40-TAV. The novel is predestined to supply enough cooling effect to CPU and its adjacent elements. The product is developed in Tower-type form-factor, featuring 139x93x160 mm dimensions, and is compatible with CPUs which TDP level does not exceed 200W. The following CPU sockets fall under this category: Intel LGA 775/1155/1156/1366/2011 and AMD FM1/FM2/AM2/AM2+/AM3/AM3+.

Model ETS-T40-TAV consists of a voluminous aluminum heatsink, four heat pipes (6 mm each) which support direct contact technology, and a single 120 mm fan. The fan, entitled TB Appolish PWM, is based on Twister bearing, while its operation is controlled by PWM technology. PWM enables the speed variation from 800 RPM to 1800 RPM, depending on the loading.

On such conditions its performance fluctuates within the measures of 33.26 -75.98 CFM and noise level ranges from …

MSI Adds a Pair of GTX 1070 Quick Silver 8G Graphics Cards to Its Portfolio

It feels as if MSI never stops experimenting with its PC solutions. This time the company decided to tinker with color gamut of the graphics cards. Therewith, it introduced a couple of comic-colored video cards, entitled GeForce GTX 1070 Quick Silver 8G & GeForce GTX 1070 Quick Silver 8G OC. The black-and-gray coating might become a stylish add-on to any gaming rig.

Both video cards are based on Nvidia GP104-200 GPU (16 FinFET, Pascal) with 1920 CUDA, 120 TMUs & 64 ROPs. The models are able to operate in three modes: Silent, Gaming and OC; hence, the core’s clock frequencies depend on the mode. MSI GeForce GTX 1070 Quick Silver 8G operates at 1506/1683 MHz (base/dynamic) in Silent mode; 1518/1708 MHz in Gaming mode and 1531/1721 MHz in OC mode. The accompanying 8 GB of GDDR5 video memory (256-bit) runs equally on any conditions – 8008 MHz.

In its turn, MSI GeForce GTX 1070 Quick Silver 8G OC is able to demonstrate the following performance index: 1506/1683 MHz in …

Asus to Start Shipping Radeon R9 290 DirectCU II OC Graphics Card

Next week Asus is going to start shipping its newest graphics card from Radeon R9 series. Codenamed Radeon R9 290 DirectCU II OC, it is based on an original PCB with black-and-red design and the incorporation of an exclusive DirectCU II cooling system. Plus, the availability of ‘OC’ in the codename implies the availability of factory overclocking.

Asus Radeon R9 290 DirectCU II OC takes GCN Hawaii core with 2816 stream processors as the basis. It operates at an overclocked 1000 MHz frequency. The model is equipped with 4 GB of GDDR5 memory (512-bit bus) that runs at an effective 5400 MHz frequency. Just for a comparison, etalon adapter from AMD runs at 947 MHz/ 5000 MHz for GPU/memory correspondingly.

DirectCU II cooler consists of a heatsink, four copper nickel-plated heatpipes (two of them feature 10 mm dimensions), and two high-performance fans: one ordinary and one CoolTech. The card receives power via 6+8-pin connectors and might require not less than 600 W PSU.
