Akasa Blade: Solid Mid Tower for gamers and enthusiasts

The range of chassis Mid Tower from the company the Akasa is added by new model called the Blade and its modification Blade Distinction Edition with a transparent window on the side wall, which are addressed in the first place for demanding users from among gamers and computer enthusiasts.



Both new products are painted black inside and out, have a grilled front panel and are available in versions with blue or red front LED. They are made of sheet steel of thickness 0.7 mm, have dimensions of 207 x 521,5 x 491,5 mm, compatible with standard Micro-ATX/ATX and have seven expansion slots.

Toshiba Preps New VX500 Series of Solid-State Drives

Toshiba America Electronic Components is glad to present a new series of SSDs, developed under OCZ brand. The VX500 models are targeting mainstream desktops & laptops, offering the most comprehensive storage solutions. The drives are designed in a standard 2.5-inch form-factor with SATA 6 Gb/sec interface. Solidity is backed by a 5-year’s limited warranty.



OCZ VX500 SSDs are based on Toshiba MLC chips (15 nm) which are characterized by a more conspicuous reliability than TLC chips. Hence, the items are an optimal tool for content creation, writing & reading info, downloading files, etc. The drives also employ Toshiba TC358790 controller.

Intel Compute Stick With Intel Apollo Lake CPU

In the year of 2015 the Intel Company announced a mini PC with a completely new layout, named Intel Compute Stick. According to its dimensions it resembles a mobile 3G adapter or a slightly enlarged typical flash drive, though its functionality lets us consider this sample to be a fully-featured PC, which only needs to be connected to the monitor or TV-set through the HDMI interface.



At first the Intel Company and its partners released their versions with Intel Bay Trail CPUs, being later exchanged by the Intel Cherry Trail series solutions. In 2016 even more powerful models with Intel Core m3 and Intel Core m5 (Intel Skylake) CPUs appeared. One can expect, that in the second quarter of 2017 the Intel Compute Stick manufacturers will use the Intel Apollo Lake series chips.
