MSI Introduces Radeon R9 270X Gaming 2G ITX Graphics Card

All devotees of mini-ITX PC systems now can enjoy the privileges of innovative graphics solutions with a remarkable Radeon R9 270X Gaming 2G ITX adapter. The new-comer features 170x120x35 mm dimensions only and fits any modern small-sized chassis. It is based on AMD Curacao XT GPU that boasts 1280 stream processors and offers nominal, as well as overclocked operational frequencies. Foxconn has changed specifications of nettop Nano AT-5250

Due to a sudden «retirement» of the processor Intel Atom D2700, Foxconn company was forced to make adjustments in the equipment of its compact desktop PC Nano AT-5250 on Intel platform. As a result, in its specifications, instead of old CPU, a new dual-core chip Intel Atom D2550 with a frequency of 1.83 GHz has been implemented. As for the version of the nettop, built on a platform of AMD, it is worth noting that its specifications remain the same. It should be mentioned, that here a dual-core accelerated processor AMD E-450 is a “heart” with 1.65 GHz of clock frequency. Its integrated graphics is AMD Radeon HD 6320.

Mini-PC weighs 600 grams, is performed in a black hull with dimensions of 190 x 135 x 38 mm, and is passively cooled.

Gigabyte Debuts with Socket AM1 Motherboards

Gigabyte is the first among AMD’s partners to introduce proprietary motherboards for an upcoming Socket AM1 platform. Initially the AM1 series will comprise only two models: the GA-AM1M-S2P and the GA-AM1M-S2H. Both feature micro-ATX form-factor and are supposed to house AMD Athlon/Sempron APUs. They employ two DIMM slots for the integration of up to 32 GB DDR3 memory with 1600 MHz frequency. The release is scheduled for March when the platform is officially introduced.

Gigabyte motherboards have got two SATA III 6 Gb/sec ports for the expansion of storage, one PCIe 2.0 x16, one PCIe x1 and one PCI connector for the connection of add-ons. Network functional consists of gigabit controller from Realtek, whereas audio functional is laid upon 7.1-channel HAD Realtek ALC 887 codec.
