Meet Two Modifications of Lian Li PC-V359 Chassis

Lian Li Industrial Co., a well-known Taiwanese designer of state-of-the-art PC cases, is glad to announce the release of two new versions of PC-V359 chassis. The first differentiation between the modifications lies in the color scheme: one model uses black-and-red scheme ($199), whereas the other one – pure golden scheme ($219).

Both chassis are made of aluminum alloy. Their frontal panel boasts the availability of a small window, while the top panel is entirely transparent. The latter is fixed by means of four screws, unscrewing of which enables the removal of frontal and side panels. This done, the user receives free access towards internal layout.

Lian Li PC-V359 cases are compatible with micro-ATX motherboards. They are ready to accommodate four PCI expansion cards, a thin ODD, six 3.5-inch and two 2.5-inch drives. ASRock Introduces Affordable H110M-DS/Hyper Mainboard

ASRock enters the market with another budget-oriented micro-ATX mainboard – the H110M-DS/Hyper (the recommended price makes up $60). The greenhorn is designed on Intel H110 chipset as well as ASRock Hyper BCLK Engine. The latter realizes the overclocking of Intel Skylake CPUs (for Socket LGA1151) by means of BCLK alteration; therewith, all other key nodes operate off-the-shelf.

ASRock H100M-DS/Hyper employs 4+1-phase power subsystem. The PCB accommodates 2x DIMM slots for DDR4-2133 MHz RAM with the maximal volume of 32 GB. Storage subsystem is represented by four SATA III ports, whereas expansion facilities include one PCIe 3.0 x16 and one PCIe 2.0 x1 ports.

Audio subsystem is governed by Realtek ALC887 controller and three 3.5-mm sockets. In its turn, network facilities are backed by Realtek RTL8111GR controller. Connectivity options embrace one RJ-45 port, one DVI video port, two PS/2 ports, and four USB ports for peripherals (both v 2.0 and v 3.0).

Haswell processors for laptops will consume up to 57 W, desktop - up to 100

Intel provides with three graphics levels: GT1, GT2 and GT3. Desktop processors won’t receive graphics performance higher than GT2, but mobile processors will be able to boast of with GT3 class. Support of PCI Express 3.0 for Haswell processors will be quite usual characteristics, but at the memory controller little progress is seen — yet provides dual-channel DDR3-1600.

By energy consumption Haswell desktop versions will be divided into models with values of 35, 45, 65 and 95 watts of TDP level. For mobile processors the values are ​​37, 47 and 57 W. Finally, ultra book processors with built-in system logic will be filled by TDP level not more than 15 watts. It is assumed that this will enable them, among other things, be in standby mode up to 10 days without charge.
