Kingston Showcases New SSDNow KC300 Series

Kingston Digital, an established developer and supplier of highly efficient storage solutions, has officially introduced its new line of solid-state drives that entered SSDNow series. Entitled KC300, this line is targeted at a vast audience, starting from corporate clients and finishing with average customers. KC300 includes five models of 60 GB, 120 GB, 180 GB, 240 GB, and 480 GB capacities. According to Kingston, the new entries are supposed to substitute the two preceding SSD lines: Kingston KC100 and Kingston V+200.

SSDs KC300 are designed in 2.5-inch form-factor and feature SATA III 6 Gb/sec interface. LSI SandForce SF-2281 controller is the heart of each drive model. All items included in the series support DuraClass, DuraWrite, S.M.A.R.T. and RAISE technologies that substantially enhance their efficiency. The same way, all the drives are able to complete an automatic data encoding by means of two integrated encoding engines, which work with AES-128 and AES-256 algorithms. …

Haswell processors for laptops will consume up to 57 W, desktop - up to 100

Intel provides with three graphics levels: GT1, GT2 and GT3. Desktop processors won’t receive graphics performance higher than GT2, but mobile processors will be able to boast of with GT3 class. Support of PCI Express 3.0 for Haswell processors will be quite usual characteristics, but at the memory controller little progress is seen — yet provides dual-channel DDR3-1600.

By energy consumption Haswell desktop versions will be divided into models with values of 35, 45, 65 and 95 watts of TDP level. For mobile processors the values are ​​37, 47 and 57 W. Finally, ultra book processors with built-in system logic will be filled by TDP level not more than 15 watts. Meet New AE222/G and AE201 AIO Solutions from MSI

MSI has enlarged its inventory of all-in-one PCs with a pair of new models – the AE201 and the AE222/G. Both greenhorns are based on the advanced Intel Core i3/i5 4th gen processors and are thought to support the latest Windows 8.1 platform version. The first model, AE201, features 20-inch display with Full HD resolution (1920x1080). Official press-release does not give a hint about detailed specifications, though it mentions that this model supports Flicker-Free and Less-Blue Light technologies.

Nonetheless, the larger part of the presentation is devoted to the AE222/G AIO PC. This model features 21.5-inch Full HD display and supports the above mentioned technologies, as well as optional sensor facilities. All functional possibilities are relied on Intel H81 Express chipset. The product will come in two variations: either with Intel Core i3-4130 CPU, running at 3.4 GHz, or with Core i5-4440s.
