Motherboard Asus Z97-Deluxe Review: Getting to Know a New Intel’s Chipset

Intel’s Z-series chipsets have been recently supplemented by a new Z97 Express companion. Its release coincides with the launch of an updated Haswell Refresh CPU line for LGA 1150 socket. The new platform is thought to support PCI Express M.2 interface that substitutes an old-fashioned mSATA one. It is also supposed to support SATA Express interface and the forthcoming Intel Core 5th generation CPUs. What are the real differences between Z97 and preceding chipsets? ASRock to Release BeeBox Mini-PC with Type-C Interface

ASRock has replenished its series of Intel NUC mini-PCs with a new model – the BeeBox. Its key peculiarity is the support for USB Type-C interface. The model features 118.5x110x46 mm dimensions, satisfying basic corporate and home entertainment needs. In addition, it boasts low power consumption level combined with a strong performance.

ASRock BeeBox will be available in three versions: as a barebone PC, a full-blown system without OS and a full-blown system with OS. Each version will be housed either in a classic black, a stylish gold or a pure white chassis.

The heart of the model is Intel Braswell platform (64-bit, 14 nm) equipped with a two-core Celeron N3000 CPU, running at 1.04/2.08 GHz frequency (basic/dynamic). There will be versions with a four-core Celeron N3150 CPU. Both processors feature 4/6 TDP only. Besides, all computers come with an integrated Intel HD graphics.

PNY Debuts with GeForce GTX 750 and GTX 750 Ti Adapters

PNY, following an echelon of graphics cards manufacturers, has launched its own versions of Nvidia’s GeForce GTX 750 adapters. The PNY GeForce GTX 750 and PNY GeForce GTX 750 Ti are based on power-efficient Maxwell architecture that does not compromise on performance. Both new-comers operate at etalon frequencies and are thought to provide entry-level customers with some outstanding facilities. The preliminary retail price of models makes up $124 and $149 for GTX 750 and Ti version correspondingly.

The PNY GeForce GTX 750 employs GM107-300 GPU (512 CUDA cores), whereas the PNY GeForce GTX 750 Ti is equipped with GM107-400 GPU (640 CUDA cores). Both run at 1020 MHz (nominal) / 1085 MHz (boost) clock frequency. The products are differentiated also by the incorporation of video memory.
