Nvidia Gets Replenishment of 5 New Quadro Models

Nvidia proves to be successful not only in the development of visual solutions for home and corporate users but also for professionals. Its Quadro series of graphics cards is highly appreciated among designers, engineers and research circles, mainly due to unprecedented visual facilities. Therefore, the company has recently replenished the series with 5 new models – K420, K620, K2200, K4200, and K5200 – which are targeting hard-core PCs, servers and workstations.

Nvidia Quadro K420 and K620 are equipped with 2 GB of DDR3 memory, whereas K2200, K4200 and K5200 come with 4/8 GB of GDDR5 memory. All models have been developed hand-in-hand with the leading customers in various areas; this allowed the company to adjust performance characteristics to the specific needs of each customer. The list of facilities offered by new Quadro series involves the possibility:

— to work with data arrays and applications of huge volumes;

— to accelerate the operation of over 100 …

Spire Launches Ridge 6601 and Ridge 6602 PC Chassis

Spire has officially launched a new line of budgetary PC chassis, codenamed Spire Ridge. At the moment, there are only two models within the series – the Ridge 6601 and the Ridge 6602. Both are characterized by the support for ATX motherboards and have many other identical specifications: i.e. mid-tower form-factor, 192x415x418 mm dimensions. Still, there are some differentiations as well.

The first distinction between the two models lies in the frontal panel design. Therefore, Ridge 6601 features a laconic panel made of plastic without additional ventilation. In its turn, Ridge 6602 features a half-perforated metallic frontal panel that allows for a more intense cooling of internal components.

The couple boasts identical expansion facilities with two 5.25-inch buckets for optical drives, four 3.5-inch buckets for HDD/SSD, and seven expansion slots. Connectivity options are introduced by a set of frontal interfaces, including two audio slots, one USB 2.0, and one USB …

Arctic Cooling Unveils New Freezer i32 & A32 CPU Coolers

Arctic Cooling AG replenishes its line of CPU coolers with a couple of new-comers. The Freezer i32 and the Freezer A32 feature analogous dimensions (123x95x150 mm), but are targeting to work with different platforms. The first model is compatible with Intel Socket LGA 2011 and 115x platforms, whereas the second version is predestined for the CPUs targeting AMD AM2/AM2+, AM3/AM3+, FM1 and FM2 platforms.

Arctic Cooling Freezer i32 & A32 consist of an aluminum heatsink with 45 thin plates and four U-shaped 6-mm copper heatpipes which support direct touch technology. It goes without saying that these coolers come equipped with a fan. This is a 120 mm propeller that supports PWM technology; the latter enables the change of rotational speed from 0 to 1350 RPM. The maximal TDP level of the catered CPUs should not exceed 150 W.

A dedicated bearing technology with alloy/lubricant combination provides for a lower friction and higher heat dissipation efficiency. The nominal delivery …
