MSI could not resist the temptation to officially introduce a pair of new gaming mainboards: the X99S Gaming 9 ACK and the Z97 Gaming 9 ACK. The key distinction of new-comers from analogue models without ‘ACK’ attribute lies in the implementation of dedicated gaming network controllers: Qualcomm Atheros Killer 1525 and Killer E2205. The first one is supposed to support 802.11 ac standard that guarantees 867 Mb/sec throughput bandwidth; it also ensures less data deference. VIA Announces the Upcoming Release of VAB-800 Motherboard

VIA Technologies Inc., a global manufacturer of power-efficient processor platforms, has recently announced the release of its peculiar motherboard, codenamed VAB-800. The major peculiarity of these motherboards is that they will be delivered in two variants: with chips of VIA personal production, WonderMedia (800 MHz), and with Freescale ARM Cortex-A8 1 GHz chips. The volume capacities of DDR3 memory in either variant will equal to 1 GB. VAB-800 is developed in piro-ITX form-factor but is also compatible with blocks of ATX form-factor.

Motherboard VAB-800 accommodates flash-memory of eMMC type with the integrated SATA 3 Gbit/sec sockets. The total volume capacity of flash-memory equals to 64 GB. Lian Li Announces PC-B16 and PC-A61 Aluminum PC Cases

Lian Li Industrial Co., an outstanding Taiwanese hardware developer, offers to the UK enthusiasts a pair of fresh PC cases, codenamed PC-B16 and PC-A61. Both are housed in aluminum cases, ready to accommodate ATX, micro-ATX and mini-ITX motherboards. The products are already available at the price of 144 £ and 119 £ correspondingly.

Lian Li PC-B16 features 230x490x530 mm dimensions and comes in entirely black, as well as bare aluminum versions. The frontal panel is equipped with a dedicated lid that hides a ventilation grid and access to four external ODD drives (5.25-inch).
