Raijintek Intros High-Efficiency CPU Cooler Entitled Nemesis

Raijintek, a young but future-proof company, has recently showcased another addition to its CPU cooling solutions – the Nemesis. This is a tower-like model targeting initially overclockers and PC enthusiasts. It features 140x130x166.5 mm dimensions and weighs 1050 g. The fans of extreme cooling can enjoy all privileges of Nemesis right now, since it’s already available for pre-order in the European market for the retail price of 60 EUR.

Raijintek Nemesis consists of a copper base, five nickel-plated U-shape heatpipes, and a pair of asymmetric aluminum heatspreaders, accompanied by two fans of 140x150x25 mm standard. The fans are manipulated by powers of PWM technology, so their speed might vary from 600 RPM to 1400 RPM.

Their unified efficiency achieves 119 CFM of produced airflow; that is quite enough to cool down rather hot CPUs. Moreover, the framework allows to utilize the cooler as in active, so in passive mode when the loading is low.

The Introduction of Transparent Chassis from Scythe

Scythe has recently amazed the community by the introduction of absolutely transparent chassis. ACB-Type3 model preserves the cutout of the standard Mid-Tower chassis solutions, but is made of transparent acrylic plates. One more peculiarity of this model is the parallel to the base localization of motherboard. Besides, ACB-Type3 is compatible with motherboards of various form-factor, including mini-ITX, micro-ATX, and ATX.

The motherboard is accommodated on a special tray. Right under this tray the customers are able to find a set of bays designated for the installation of PSU, three 3.5-inch drives, a couple of 2.5-inch drives, and three 5.25-inch drives. The chassis is compatible with CPU coolers of up to 190 mm in height.

At the same time, this model goes without any fans or side panels; this attributes the model to Open-Air segment. The product can content itself with practically noiseless passive system.

Gigabyte Debuts with Socket AM1 Motherboards

Gigabyte is the first among AMD’s partners to introduce proprietary motherboards for an upcoming Socket AM1 platform. Initially the AM1 series will comprise only two models: the GA-AM1M-S2P and the GA-AM1M-S2H. Both feature micro-ATX form-factor and are supposed to house AMD Athlon/Sempron APUs. They employ two DIMM slots for the integration of up to 32 GB DDR3 memory with 1600 MHz frequency. The release is scheduled for March when the platform is officially introduced.

Gigabyte motherboards have got two SATA III 6 Gb/sec ports for the expansion of storage, one PCIe 2.0 x16, one PCIe x1 and one PCI connector for the connection of add-ons. Network functional consists of gigabit controller from Realtek, whereas audio functional is laid upon 7.1-channel HAD Realtek ALC 887 codec.

The differentiation between the two models lies in the set of internal/external interfaces. Hence, the GA-AM1M-S2P comes with two PS/2 ports, one D-Sub port, four USB ports (3.0 + 2.0), one RJ-45, …
