AMD Officially Introduces Radeon HD 7790 Graphics Card

An official introduction of a new graphics card from AMD, entitled Radeon HD 7790, has been settled into a dedicated press briefing. Within the framework of this briefing, the company not only gave a detailed description of a long-awaited product but also divulged a comparative performance analysis with its main rival’s adapter – Nvidia GeForce GTX 650 Ti. Therefore, AMD Radeon HD 7790 graphics card belongs to mainstream items and is targeting a wide range of customers. It is based on AMD Bonaire GPU with AMD GCN architecture developed under 28 nm technological process. The GPU consists of 896 current processors, 14 computing blocks, 56 texture blocks, and 16 ROP blocks.

Video memory subsystem comprises 1 GB of GDDR5 memory type, employing 128-bit bus. Its nominal clock frequency equals to 1500 MHz, while effective frequency makes up 6000 MHz. The overall efficiency level of this adapter is estimated at 1.79 TFLOPS; this index is twice larger than the one recorded with AMD …

PC-O10 Dual-Compartment Mid Tower by Lian Li

A new chassis product by Lian Li is called “the PC-O10 Dual-Compartment Mid Tower”. It’s a modern and improved mid tower case. Regarding the SFX/SFX-L PSU shape factor, this case is slim in comparison with PC-O8 and PC-O9.

An up-to-date half aluminum, half glass design by Lian Li fits to the conventional tower proportions. Powerful SFX-L PSUs, available at the moment, let users get rid of cumbersome customary ATX PSUs.

Though PC-O10 is slim, it still matches E-ATX, Full ATX and microATX motherboards. Possessing 7 expansion slots, it allows multi-GPU setup using 340 mm VGA cards, which gives lots of opportunities. The inbuilt CPU coolers can be 130 mm tall. The PSU case can store up to 4 3.5” and 2 2.5” drives, and the main glass compartment has an area for an additional 2.5” SSD. The PC-O10 construction hides unattractive elements, such as drives and cables, and brings only appealing components to the fore.

It is possible to mount two 120 mm or one 140 mm …

Inno3D Demonstrates Two GeForce GTX 650 Ti Boost Graphics Cards

As opposed to the army of companies that launched practically identical to the prototype GeForce GTX 650 Ti Boost graphics cards, Inno3D has elaborated two own versions which dramatically differ from Nvidia’s sample. The major difference lies in an efficient cooling system and production overclocking. The first model, marked as Inno3D GeForce GTX 650 Ti Boost iChill, is equipped with a highly efficient cooler ‘iChill’ and features 7% production overclocking. The other model, marked as Inno3D GeForce GTX 650 Ti Boost, comes without overclocked frequencies, although its hardware components promote for the conducting of various clock frequency tests.

Both novels take GK106 as the basis. The GPU is developed under 28 nm technological process and features 768 CUDA cores, 64 texturing blocks, and 16 rasterization blocks. In regard to frequencies, Inno3D GeForce GTX 650 Ti Boost iChill is clocked at 1050 MHz in nominal mode, but can be overclocked up to 1102 MHz in GPU Boost …
