Sapphire Outs iCafe Gaming OC Graphics Card

Sapphire, the largest global retailer of graphics cards with AMD GPUs, comes out to the market with its own rendition of Radeon R7 260X adapter – the Radeon R7 260X iCafe Gaming OC. The new-comer features 215x105x35 mm dimensions and a purely black design. Its key differentiation is the integration of a two-slot aluminum cooler without heatpipes and a low-noise PWM fan. The nominal retail price makes up 124 EUR.



Sapphire Radeon R7 260X iCafe Gaming OC is based on AMD Bonaire XTX GPU (GCN 1.1) with 896 stream processors, 16 ROPs and 56 TMUs, running at 1050 MHz frequency. Its major ally – 2 GB GDDR5 memory with 128-bit interface – operates at 6000 MHz frequency. Power supply subsystem boasts 5+3-phase configuration, while connection to the PSU is realized by means of a single 6-pin socket.

AeroCool Showcases a Pair of Strike X Xtreme Gaming Chassis

AeroCool has replenished its line of gaming PC chassis with two new models, codenamed Strike X Xtreme Black Edition and Strike X Xtreme White Edition. Both cases are distinguished by an enhanced framework reliability and a sophisticated cooling system. Plus, an upgraded functionality allows for the creation of various powerful system configurations.



AeroCool Strike X Xtreme chassis are developed in mid-tower form-factor and are housed in solid steel cases (SECC) with voluminous ventilation grids. Internal layout is sufficient for the installation of ATX or micro-ATX motherboards, graphics cards of up to 293 mm in length, and CPU tower-like coolers of up to 172 mm in height. In addition, internal framework stipulates the integration of seven PCI-cards, four 5.25-inch devices (all with an output to the frontal facet), and of six 3.5-inch drives. Sapphire Technology Ltd. is going to release a new graphics card on Tahiti LE chip. Codenamed Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition Toxic, the card is one of the first models to use the newest GPU, developed under 28 nm technological process. The suffix 'GHz Edition' in the model's name witnesses that the nominal GPU clock frequency exceeds the index of 1 GHz.



The core of Sapphire Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition Toxic is based on Graphics Core Next architecture and contains 1536 current processors. The card's inventory involves 2GB of GDDR5 memory with 256-bit bus interface. The memory modules are known to operate at 6000 MHz frequency. GPU operational frequencies are still not clarified, but it's possible to assume that on activation of AMD PowerTune option the card will demonstrate some outstanding performance. In fact, analysts dare saying that this model is the most efficient one among all other solutions based on Tahiti LE chip.
