King’s on the Footprint: Nvidia Boasts Titan X Adapter

The much-anticipated release of Nvidia’s GeForce GTX Titan X graphics adapter has already come true. The new-comer employs the latest flagship GM200 GPU (Nvidia Maxwell architecture) that comprises 8 billion transistors, 24 SMM blocks (each includes 128 CUDA cores and 8 TMUs). As a result, the GPU consists of 3072 CUDA cores and 192 TMUs – a record-breaking layout. The amount of ROPs makes up 96.

Nvidia GeForce GTX Titan X runs at 1000 MHz nominal frequency but might be overclocked to 1075 MHz frequency. Memory subsystem is compiled of 12 GB of GDDR5 modules which operate at 7010 MHz frequency. The bandwidth index of 384-bit bus approximates 336.5 Gb/sec. Consequently, an overall computation power is estimated at 7.0 TFLOPS.

Cooling is organized with the assistance of a two-slot cooler with a single fan. Connectivity facilities include three video ports: DisplayPort, DVI-I and HDMI. On active mode, the maximum allowed GPU temperature should not exceed 92 C. The utmost …

Asus Replenishes X99 Motherboard Lineup with 4 New Items

Asus adds to its renowned lineup of X99 motherboards a set of new solutions. All the greenhorns are based on Intel X99 chipset targeting socket LGA2011-v3 platforms. Thus, they support the installation of Haswell-E & Broadwell-E CPUs (Intel Core i7). The boards brag about the incorporation of multiple innovations and technologies. The latter include:

— OC Socket ensures more efficient CPU & memory overclocking;

— Asus Aura offers RGB backlight and allows for the connection of additional LED stripes;

— 5-way Optimization helps in fine tuning of system components;

— Asus SafeSlot provides for an enforced framework of PCIe slots.

Motherboard Asus X99-Deluxe II features the following specifications:

— memory subsystem: 8 DIMM slots for DDR4 memory with 3333 MHz frequency, up to 128 GB;

— storage subsystem: 2 M.2 slots, 2 U.2 slots, 1 SATA Express, 8 SATA 6 Gb/sec;

— audio subsystem: Crystal Sound 3;

— network: LAN – Intel I218-V, Intel …

Fractal Design has announced Define R4 hull

In nearly two years after the announcement of the hull Define R3, Fractal Design Company announced the release of its ideological successor. New, executed in the same minimalist style, has received the designation Define R4.

The hull is designed to install motherboard sizes ATX, Micro ATX and Mini ATX, and eight expansion cards. Define R4 design provides for two external 5.25-inch bay size, as well as ten internal, eight — to set the size 3.5-inch HDD, two — for the installation of SSD size 2.5 inches.

As the creators say, inside Define R4 can be used CPU coolers up to 170 cm, power supplies up to 270 cm, and graphics up to 295 or 430 mm (respectively, with basket for the HDD, and without it). As for the cooling system, it involves the installation of up to seven fans: two front, one rear, two top, one bottom and one side. The package includes two fans Silent Series R2, front and rear. Both are characterized by a diameter of 140 mm and speed 1000 r / min. Interestingly, …
