External Hard Drive Seagate Backup Plus 1TB Review

External hard drives have outlived barely few technological modifications since their first appearance in the market. Their main destination is to store voluminous customer files or the whole system image, and provide an unimpeded access to them. In spite of the products distinct purpose and set of assignments, each manufacturer tries to replenish their drives with bright and unusual accessories and facilities. Seagate, being the company with an established reputation in this sector, does not lag behind the tendencies, and offers its consumers a range of additional options. Therefore, Seagate Backup Plus 1 TB drive distinguishes by the possibility to save photos from social networks (Facebook and Flickr), along with standard facilities.

NAS QNAP TS-469 Pro Review

Contemporary network storage units have already undergone the evolution era, and nowadays new emerging models do not differ so much from their predecessors. This basically touches upon external integration and major functional. Still, hardware and software layout is constantly changing, offering more advanced, more efficient, and more comprehensive facilities. QNAP has recently launched a series of four-disk stations, with TS-469 Pro model leading the series.

Design and Integration

NAS QNAP TS-469 Pro is based on a steel frame. The casing is made of dark aluminum, while the frontal panel is made of black plastic. The larger part of this panel features a bay for the HDD installation; HDD bay consists of metallic frames and external plastic straps. Right above the bay there is a block of two-array indicators, two control panels and eight LED lights signifying the work of each hard drive, general device status, network connection, USB connection, and eSATA connection.

Promising Speed Forecasts for AMD Radeon 8000 Sea Islands

AMD is continuing its work on the new GPU generation codenamed ‘Sea Islands’. The new series is prognosticated to be released in the coming winter. All the products with this GPU will be branded Radeon 8000. AMD manufacturers claim that their new graphic processing units will be 40% more efficient due to the implemented advanced technologies. There is not so much news about the future GPU architecture, although cardinal changes are barely possible.

Sea Islands chips will be equipped with 5.1 billion transistors as compared with the current 4.3 billion items applied in the products. This augmentation will facilitate the increment of efficiency. The chips will be developed according to the already tried-and-proven 28 nm technological requirements. The increase of transistors is not as large due to the adherence to the ascribed norms. It should be underlined that the implementation of the old technologies does not imply the considerable warming up of the chips; the developments …
