Gigabyte Shows Off a Bespoke GTX 970 Graphics Card

Gigabyte has intrigued its fans by the design of an unusual videocard – the GeForce GTX 970 (GV-N970TTOC-4GD). It is based on Nvidia GM-204-200-A1 GPU (Maxwell) but with overclocked frequencies. The core operates at 1101 MHz/1241 MHz instead of etalon 1050 MHz/1178 MHz. The GPU is accompanied with 4 GB of GDDR5 memory (256-bit bus) that runs at 7010 MHz efficient clock frequency.

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 is distinguished by the implementation of Twin Turbo Fan cooling system. It consists of three copper heatpipes with direct touch technology, an aluminum heatsink, and a radial-flow fan; the latter grasps air from both sides of the adapter due to the shortened PCB design.

As a result, the airflow increases by 24%, whereas the cooling effect enhances by 29%. Thanks to this, the card is thought to be an optimal solution for Nvidia SLI configurations.

It should be noted that this graphics card boasts a high-quality hardware base – Ultra Durable VGA. A set of external …

Meeting New Gaming Memory Kits AMD Radeon RG2133

A couple of days ago AMD introduced a new series of DDR3 memory kits within the boundaries of AMD Unified Gaming Strategy development. Codenamed AMD Radeon RG2133, the new-comers are available in two- and four-channel kits, the overall capacity of which equals to 16 GB and 32 GB correspondingly. The most striking feature is that they can be employed as on AMD, so on Intel platforms, supporting AMD AMP and Intel XMP technologies for improved settings optimization.

The other peculiarity is that these memory kits run at 2133 MHz frequency. On such conditions there is always a chance to dramatically increase the system performance up to 22% (with APU AMD A10 on board). Herewith, voltage index equals to 1.65 V, while latency index looks the following way: 10-11-11-30. Memory chips are cooled down by the forces of a high-quality aluminum heatspreader. Its design is called to ensure a stable operation in response to the increased frequencies.

Unusual PC Chassis Prodigy M from BitFenix

BitFenix, a company known for modern and cutting-edge PC solutions, is going to release one more representative of Prodigy PC chassis family – the Prodigy M. The new-comer features identical to the predecessor dimensions, nonetheless is ready to welcome motherboards of mini-ITX, as well as of micro-ATX standard. The chassis is designed in two color variations: stylish Arctic White and exclusive Midnight Black. According to the preliminary info, the model will be released in late September at a price of about €80.

Despite small-sized format, the case is able to accommodate all crucial components. The number of bays for various drives has been reduced, although storage does not suffer from lack of facilities. Thus, the case features four bays for HDD items (3.5-inch) and five bays for HDD/SSD items (2.5-inch). Five expansion PCI Express slots allow for the creation of various system configurations, including CrossFire and SLI graphics schemes.
