Kingston Intros SSDNow Drives for Cost-Conscious Customers

Kingston Digital, a global designer of data storage and memory solutions, announces the release of a cost-effective SSD to extend V300 series. Codenamed Kingston SSDNow V300, the drives are intended specifically for cost-conscious consumers looking to upgrade their desktop or mobile systems. Under the claimed data, the new drives are ten times faster than standard HDDs and feature outstanding speed characteristics, where the spindle achieves 7200 rpm.



Kingston SSDNow V300 is based on SandForce SF-2281 controller and employs SATA 3 interface. The manufacturer offers its new products in three variations of 60GB, 120GB and 240GB capacity. Due to the implementation of an updated NAND flash-memory, developed under 19 nm technological process, SSDNow can boast 450 Mb/sec of consecutive Read/Write speed. AS Enclosure RS04 – a New Compact PC Case from Abee

The fact of growing popularity of compact PC systems is not a bit of news by itself, however the emerging of a fresh space effective Abee chassis solution is.



The Japanese company has presented its brand-new AS Enclosure RS04 desktop case, which will be available in 6 colour versions (black, silver, pink, bright green, sky blue and chocolate brown). The front panel is made out of 5 mm and upper and bottom panels – out of 2 mm high-quality aluminium. The inner framework is steel and meant for Mini-ITX boards.


Abee AS Encolsure RS04 allows to install four 2.5-inch drives, an SFX power supply, the CPU cooling system of up to 78 mm height and an entry-level graphics adapter (for instance, Gigabyte GTX 1050 Ti OC), the length of which must not exceed 190 mm. This chassis is well cooled down due to the efficient allocation of vent holes.

Intel Core i7-4000 Release is Scheduled for Q3’13

Intel has just unveiled its current year release plans and made a specific focus on Intel Core i7-4000 processor series. According to Intel, the new line of products, known also as Intel Ivy Bridge-E, is going to hit the market in Q3’13. Their launch will replace the Sandy-Bridge-E series – Intel Core i7-3000. The new-comers will support Socket LGA2011 CPU sockets, as well as Intel X79 chipset. This is called to dramatically facilitate the updating process of the current systems.



The first three models to appear in the market will be Intel Core i7-4960X, Intel Core i7-4930K, and Intel Core i7-4820K. They will all be delivered with an unlocked multiplier. The first two models are known to have six physical and twelve virtual processor cores.
