Thermaltake Unveils Extraordinary Core G3 PC Chassis

Thermaltake decided to gladden its fans with the release of an offbeat chassis – the Core G3. The new-comer is differentiated by a slim profile (454x371x140 mm); however, it might be used for the fitting of various gaming configurations. Despite Slim Tower framework, the model is able to accommodate motherboards of full ATX form-factor with two expansion slots.

Thermaltake Core G3 might be employed as vertically so horizontally. Inner space is sufficient for the integration of 310-mm long graphics cards, SFX power supply units as well as 110-mm high CPU coolers. Besides, the availability of PCI Express riser allows for the mounting of the videocard in dual positions: parallel or perpendicular to the motherboard.

In order to enhance cooling performance, the user is free to integrate a liquid cooling system with a 240-mm heatsink. Initially, the chassis is furnished with two frontal 120-mm fans; one more 120-mm fan can be installed on the top facet. All cooling slots are …

Scythe Mugen 5 Is a Powerful CPU Cooler Up to 160 mm High

A new sample – Scythe Mugen 5 (SCMG-5000) – has come into line with the famous Scythe Mugen series. Its asymmetric Tower construction enhances compatibility with long RAM modules. The dimensions of the unit are 154.5 х 130 х 110 mm, and the weight equals to 890 g, which widens the range of chassis able to hold it.

Scythe Mugen 5 possesses a nickel-plated copper base frame, six nickel-plated copper heat pipes, an aluminum heatsink and a 120 mm Scythe Kaze Flex 120 PWM axial flow fan. It is constructed with refined hydrodynamic bearings (Sealed Precision FDB) with the specified life span of 120,000 hours. The rotary speed of 300–1,200 rpm is able to create an airflow in the volume of 16.6–51.17 CFM (28.2–86.93 m3/hr). The static pressure is estimated to be 0.076–1.05 mm H2O, and the noise level lies in the range of 4–24.9 dBA. One can optionally install another analogous fan on the other side.

Chassis Libra LF-01B-OP is a senior model in the series that is distinguished by a more distinct gaming directionality: ATX form-factor, bottom-part PSU localization, a line of fans, dock station for hard drives, and some other pleasing facilities.

Design

Chieftec Libra LF-01B-OP is notable by restrained design peculiarities with a bit rounded angles and straight lines. The casing is totally black from the outside and inside with the wee bit dull surfacing. The upper panel is made of plastic; its larger part is taken by a grid that serves a means of hot air blow-out. Closer to its front part, one can find a dock station for 3.5/2.5-inch drives and a recess for peripheral components. Interface panel is introduced by two USB 3.0 ports and the …
