Fractal Design Outs Core 2500 Enclosure

Fractal Design, a highly-acclaimed Swedish hardware manufacturer, announces the launch of mid-tower Core 2500 PC enclosure. The new-comer is ready to offer a unique combination of an austere design, an efficient cooling, a marvelous functionality, and an affordable price. The model is already on sale for the recommended by the manufacturer price tag of $59.90.

Fractal Design Core 2500 features totally black interior and exterior. Aluminum frontal panel is differentiated by a 3D grain-oriented coating. The enclosure is ready to welcome motherboards of ATX standard, as well as CPU coolers as high as 162 mm and graphics cards as long as 380 mm. Frontal and bottom perforated sites have got dust filters that prevent litter from shrinking into the components.

Besides, the internal layout of the case offers two vacant places for the installation of 5.25-inch drives, eight places for 3.5/2.5-inch drives (SSD/HDD), and seven PCI slots for expansion cards. It should be noted that …

Promising Speed Forecasts for AMD Radeon 8000 Sea Islands

AMD is continuing its work on the new GPU generation codenamed ‘Sea Islands’. The new series is prognosticated to be released in the coming winter. All the products with this GPU will be branded Radeon 8000. AMD manufacturers claim that their new graphic processing units will be 40% more efficient due to the implemented advanced technologies. There is not so much news about the future GPU architecture, although cardinal changes are barely possible.

Sea Islands chips will be equipped with 5.1 billion transistors as compared with the current 4.3 billion items applied in the products. This augmentation will facilitate the increment of efficiency. The chips will be developed according to the already tried-and-proven 28 nm technological requirements. The increase of transistors is not as large due to the adherence to the ascribed norms. It should be underlined that the implementation of the old technologies does not imply the considerable warming up of the chips; the developments …

Galaxy Microsystems Releases Two New Graphics Cards, Based on NVIDIA Pascal – KFA2 GeForce GTX 1080 EXOC Sniper White and GTX 1070 EXOC Sniper White

The two novelties by Galaxy Microsystems – GeForce GTX 1080 EXOC Sniper White and GTX 1070 EXOC Sniper White – are highlighted not only due to their white colouring, but also due to their non-reference cooler and PC-board design, to the factory overclocking and to the LED-backlighting of fans and the aluminium back plate.

These specialties are equipped with a two-slot cooler possessing several copper nickel-plated heat pipes. There are two memory chip life wires and an 8-pin and a 6-pin PCI-E Power connectors.

The main cooling system contains an aluminium heat dissipator for VRM transistors and a pair of 100 mm fans.

Based on the GP104-400 chip, the top-of-the-line model operates 2,560 streaming processors, 160 TMUs, 64 rendering blocks and 256-bit line, which works together with the 8 GB GDDR5X RAM. The KFA2 GeForce GTX 1080 EXOC Sniper White frequency formula looks like 1,657–1,797/1,250(10,000) MHz for the core and memory respectively.

The graphics cards …
