Evga, a merited designer of a large spectrum of PC components, is about to release a new power supply unit, entitled 500B (codename: 100-B1-0500-KR). As seen from the title, this model features 500W power and is oriented at saving users, rather than enthusiasts. Upon the whole, 500B is thought to be a perfect ‘price-quality’ combination, ready to comply with all basic users’ requirements.

Evga 500B employs a single +12V rail that ensures a stable power supply to the connected components and guarantees compatibility with new equipment. The unit is estimated for 40A current at +12V rail. BenQ Launches BL2420PT Quad HD Monitor

BenQ, a well-known Taiwanese designer of visual solutions, strikes the imagination with a new PC monitor, entitled BL2420PT. This 23.8-inch item with 16:9 aspect ratio is based on a high-quality AHVA matrix that ensures unrivaled specifications: the widest viewing angles (178 degrees in both aspects), Quad HD resolution (2560x1440 pixels), and 100% coverage in sRGB surrounding.

BenQ BL2420PT features 520x568x199 mm dimensions and weighs 7 kg. The display is equipped with white LED backlit that reduces typical power consumption to 28 W and to 0.3 W in Off mode. The implemented matrix provides for 1000:1 native contrast with 20M :1 correlation in dynamic mode. The maximal brightness makes up 300 cd/m2, color depth reaches 8 bits, the ultimate amount of displayed colors – 16.7 million, whereas typical response time equals to 14 ms (5 ms in GtG surrounding).

Fractal Design has announced Define R4 hull

In nearly two years after the announcement of the hull Define R3, Fractal Design Company announced the release of its ideological successor. New, executed in the same minimalist style, has received the designation Define R4.

The hull is designed to install motherboard sizes ATX, Micro ATX and Mini ATX, and eight expansion cards. Define R4 design provides for two external 5.25-inch bay size, as well as ten internal, eight — to set the size 3.5-inch HDD, two — for the installation of SSD size 2.5 inches.

As the creators say, inside Define R4 can be used CPU coolers up to 170 cm, power supplies up to 270 cm, and graphics up to 295 or 430 mm (respectively, with basket for the HDD, and without it).
