Gigabyte to Release a New Mini-ITX GA-J1800N-D2H Motherboard

Gigabyte is going to release its latest elaboration – mini-ITX motherboard, codenamed GA-J1800N-D2H. The model is peculiar by the availability of an integrated two-core Intel Celeron J1800 CPU that runs at 2.4/2.5 GHz. In its turn, this processor boasts only 10 TDP level, so it might be efficiently cooled by a single aluminum heatsink, without fans. Upon the whole, the board is targeting entry-level desktop systems and comes to the market at the price tag of $60.

Gigabyte GA-J1800N-D2H accommodates two SO-DIMM slots, ready to house DDR3-1333 MHz memory modules with the maximal capacity of 8 GB. The connection of optical drives and other storage solutions is realized via two SATA II 3 Gb/sec ports. Buffalo Announces HD-PCFU3-C Wearables

Buffalo Technology is about to release its newest line of wearable hard drives. Codenamed HD-PCFU3-C, the products will be available in three capacity versions: 500 GB, 1 TB, and 2 TB. All of them allow as pure black so pure white exterior design. The models will be backed by 1 year limited warranty.

The Buffalo HD-PCFU3-C external HDs are housed in solid aluminum cases and equipped with a high-speed USB 3.0 interface. The latter might be used both for data transfer as well as charge-in purposes; put it otherwise, the user will be saved from the necessity to buy an additional AC adaptor.

Pricewise, the cheapest solutions are 500 GB HD-PCF500U3-BC and HD-PCF500U3-WC with the price tag of $90. The HD-PCF1.0U3-BWC and HD-PCF1.0U3-BBC of 1 TB capacity will cost about $110, whereas their senior companions, the PCF2.0U3-GBC and HD-PCF2.0U3-GWC of 2 TB capacity, will go as high as $165. Deepcool Industries Co. Ltd., a renowned Chinese developer of PC cooling solutions, is about to launch another top-notch chassis, codenamed Wave. This mini-tower model, featuring 387x175x353.5 mm dimensions, is supposed to accommodate micro-ATX systems. Despite a sleek design and enhanced functionality, entry-level customers will be able to acquire the new-comer for some $30-40.

Deepcool Wave is housed in a steel chassis (0.5 mm SECC) with plastic details. Its internal layout is predestined for two 5.25-inch drives, a triple of 3.5-inch drives and the same number of 2.5-inch drives. Expansion facilities are ensured by means of four PCI slots. There is enough space for the installation of 145-mm-high CPU cooler, 320-mm-long graphics cards, and ATX-compatible power supply unit.
