Corsair Launches a New 80Plus Gold Series of PSUs

Corsair is to start selling its newest series of power supply units, entitled Corsair CS. The series embraces four models of 450W, 550W, 650W, and 750W power, which feature some outstanding 92% efficiency. Small wonder that such models have already won 80Plus Gold certificates that verify their high-end membership. All the units correspond to the ATX specifications and support the latest Intel’s and AMD’s platforms. Besides, CS series is differentiated by a power-saving design combined with a tolerant price.

Corsair CS units are equipped with a semi-modular cable system. Main 24-contact ATX power and 8-contact EPS motherboard cables have got a static fixture, whereas flat modular cables come in the delivery set and are predestined to power HDD/SSD, graphics cards, fans, etc. Cooling is provided by 120 mm fan, based on a slide bearing; it runs at low speeds on standard loads, producing little noise during routine tasks. Its estimated MTBF equals to 150.000 hours.

Abee Launches One More Case for Mini-ITX Motherboards

Abee, a designer and supplier of high-end PC chassis, supplements its product line with one more PC case series intended specifically for mini-ITX motherboards. Codenamed Acubic C10R, the series counts five models of different coloring: casual white, black, silver, and eye-catching blue and red. All models feature futuristic cubic design with rather compact dimensions of 239x229x229 mm.

Acubic C10R is characterized by a strict design combined with elegance and grace. Its frontal panel houses a couple of USB 3.0 sockets, Power button, audio slots (for headphones and a microphone), and LED indicators for Power button and HDD activity. The panel itself is covered by a transparent acryl.

Despite its compact dimensions, this case is ready to accommodate expansion PCI Express and graphics cards of up to 190 mm in length. The maximal height of CPU cooling system should not exceed the top 55 mm; this will be quite sufficient for the integration of low-noise and low-profile …

Nvidia Debuts with GeForce GTX 770 Graphics Adapter

Trailed by the flagship GeForce GTX 780 model, Nvidia officially launches one more high-performance graphics adapter of 700 series, codenamed GeForce GTX 770. Albeit the two products are rather similar in design (i.e. the incorporation of identical two-slot cooling system), their layout differs considerably. First of all, GTX 770 employs less efficient graphics core Nvidia GK104-425-A2 (28 nm) with 1536 CUDA cores, 128 TMUs, and 32 ROPs. At the same time this GPU operates at higher frequencies: 1046 MHz (nominal), 1085 MHz (dynamic).

Nvidia’s new entry comes either with 2 GB or 4 GB video memory modules of GDDR5 type. They employ 256-bit interface and ensure high bandwidth of 224 Gb/sec. Memory operational frequency is truly striking, demonstrating up to 1752 MHz (nominal) and up to 7010 MHz (dynamic) index. It should be noted that models with 4 GB modules will cost $50 more than those with 2 GB items (the recommended price makes up $399).

To continue, GeForce GTX 770 …
