Meeting Soon: Two New Chassis of Luxo Series from Gigabyte

Gigabyte, a globally-celebrated PC hardware manufacturer, is going to launch two new PC chassis, embraced in Luxo series. The novels, designed in mid-tower form-factor, have been entitled as Luxo M20 and Luxo M30. Both models are housed in reliable steel cases (SECC) but have got some plastic insertions. Their dimensions are outlined as 440x192x430 mm. No information about the pricing or exact release date has been promulgated so far.

New chassis from Gigabyte are equipped with four pre-installed fans of 120 mm dimensional type. In addition, it’s possible to incorporate one more fan to enforce the existing cooling system. Traditionally, the products are available also for the installation of a liquid-cooling system; for this Gigabyte has drilled a couple of holes on the rear facet for the connection of water-cooling tubes.

Luxo M20 will be delivered in red-and-black color variation, while its companion Luxo M30 – in blue-and-black coloring. Both models are thought to …

The Intel Company Is Going to Give a Roland for an Oliver to AMD Ryzen

A short while ago the French Canard PC Hardware magazine has reported, that Intel is going to give fitting reply to AMD Ryzen pilot projects and plans to release two new Kaby Lake-S CPUs.

The first processor is expected to be launched under the Intel Core i7-7740K codename. It will get four compute cores with Hyper-Threading support, 8 MB of tertiary memory cache, unlocked multiplier and the 100 W basic TDP rate. Operating frequencies will lie in the range of 4.3–4.6 GHz in the Turbo Boost mode.

The second specialty is Core i5-7640K with four cores and 4–4.4 frequency of operation. It also features 6 MB of L3 cache, 100 W TDP and the support of Hyper-Threading technology, though we can’t be sure as for the last-named specification. One should admit, that heretofore only the Intel Core i7 line offered multithreading in its 4-core desktop processors.

ASRock Launches a New Motherboard with Intel SBA Support

ASRock announces the launch of a new budget-priced motherboard B75M-DGS R2.0. The model does not differentiate itself by an attractive design or wide overclocking facilities, as far as its main predestination is a stable operation in large corporate networks. The board is known to support Intel Small Business Advantage (SBA) software applet that optimizes PC operation and increases its performance. Despite such promising commodities, its price doesn't go over $60 per unit.

ASRock B75M-DGS R2.0 is designed in micro-ATX form-factor; this limits the number of supported expansion slots and other interfaces. As seen from the codename, the motherboard is based on Intel B75 system logics and shows compatibility with Intel Celeron, Intel Pentium and Intel Core i3/i5/i7 processors (second and third generation) compatible with Socket LGA1155. Memory subsystem consists of two DIMM slots which support two-channel DDR3-2200 MHz modules, the overall capacity of which might achieve 16GB …
