Transcend SSD220S: Affordable TLC-Based Solid-State Drive

Transcend expands its lineup of SSDs with a new model – the SSD220S. It is based on 15-nm TLC memory chip available in 240 GB & 480 GB capacities. The model employs SATA 6 Gb/sec interface as well as DDR3 cache-memory. The drive is housed in a small-sized aluminum case (100x69.85x6.8 mm dimensions).

Transcend SSD220S boasts satisfactory Read/Write speed showings: sequential Read/Write data transfer activity – 550/450 Mb/sec, random – Read/Write data transfer activity (4K) – 80.000 IOPS.
