LG has chosen a win-win sales strategy, offering a new 34-inch 34UC88-B monitor along with a free bonus game, entitled Tom Clancy’s The Division. The model itself boasts a slim stylish design with a curved display. The latter rests upon a thin stand that takes little space on the table surface. Netgear Boasts a New Advanced ReadyNAS Family

Netgear, a renowned designer of high-end network and storage solutions, has recently announced the release of a new NAS family, codenamed ReadyNAS. This family consists of three desktop NAS series (home, corporate and universal) and one rack model of 1U form-factor. Depending on the model, storages are delivered either in diskless configurations or complete with disks. One of the peculiarities pertained to these products is that they operate under a new version of ReadyNAS OS 6 platform.

According to Netgear, all the models within the ReadyNAS family are characterized by the implementation of diverse data protection options. Among others, the user will be able to utilize such functions as practically unlimited number of snapshots, replication with monitoring from the cloud, solid-drawn file synchronization due to ReadyDROP, integration with Dropbox, and automatic volume expansion due to XRAID. Deepcool is preparing a new cooler with heat pipes

Deepcool production company of inexpensive and quite efficient cooling systems has provided a sample of CPU cooler — Big Frost (tentative codename), which is an extension of current Frostwin model. Previous model has 4 sintered powder heatpipes, which conduct heat from the processor to protect it from overheating. Also, like a new model, it has 120mm fans.

New model has a simple design, but strict, almost «standard», forms will not prevent it from showing a decent performance. It works with less noise and performs an effective cooling. Big Frost consists of a nickel-plated copper base with a miniature auxiliary radiator, six U-shaped copper heatpipes, each of 6 mm in diameter, and two sections of aluminium plates of similar thickness. Pre-installed fans are running at different speeds. One turns with intensity of 1300 r / min (22.6 dB noise), the other — in the range from 900 to 1500 rev / min (21,4-32,1 dB).
