Nvidia GeForce GTX 780 Ti Graphics Card Official Release

After a line of rumors and leaks, Nvidia has officially introduced its latest powerful graphics card, codenamed GeForce GTX 780 Ti. Thanks to the implementation of a full-fledged GK110 core and the increase of clock frequencies, the card is going to compete with GTX Titan model, as well as with a top-tier Radeon R9 290X from AMD. In view of such efficiency, its recommended price goes up to $700.

The GeForce GTX 780 Ti is equipped with GK110 GPU that contains 2880 stream processors (GTX Titan features 2688 of them), 7.1 billion transistors, 48 ROPs, and 240 TMUs with the support for FP16/FP32 trilinear filtration. The core operates at 875 MHz (nominal) and 928 MHz (overclocked) frequencies. All major components are allocated on a black PCB, equipped with PCI Express 3.0 x16 bus. The incorporated GDDR5 modules with 384-bit interface (overall capacity – 3 GB) run at 7008 MHz with the bandwidth of 336 Gb/sec.

SilverStone Launches 4-Port ECU01 PCI Expansion Card

Taking into account an ever increasing demand for USB 3.0 interfaces, SilverStone has elaborated a dedicated PCI expansion card, entitled ECU01. The card is designed in a low-profile form-factor with the support for PCI Express 2.0 x2 bus. It features a pair of 19-contact USB 3.0 sockets, each of which offers two USB 3.0 ports.

In keeping with the manufacturer, this comprehensive model is called to satisfy the need for high-speed interfaces, absent with old-fashioned systems. For sure, the amount of connectivity ports integrated within the motherboards (usually of entry-level/budgetary standard) is not always enough for enthusiasts and gamers. Hence, there can appear an acute need for additional expansion cards, like ECU01.

SilverStone ECU01 is based on Etron EJ198 controller, featuring an additional SATA interface that is responsible for an efficient power supply. Moreover, the model supports UASP protocol that accelerates data transfer speed. If the current OS does not …

The Latest FSP Dagger Power Supply Units Are Already on Sale

The well-known PSU manufacturer FSP has voiced the launch of retailing of its latest modular Dagger line power units, being announced during the Computex event. The specialties are of 500 and 600 W nominal capacity, made in the SFX form-factor and are 80 Plus Gold certified (88% efficiency at 230 V). These are good-quality solutions, which do not take much room. Producers claim, they are perfect for micro-ATX or mini-ITX gaming systems.

The FSP SDA500 and SDA600 Dagger products give out 100% of power at 12V circuit, which means 41.6 А and 50 А respectively. The devices are overvoltage, overheat, overpower and short circuit protected, equipped with a power factor active correction mechanism and support SFX12V V3.3 and ATX12V V2.4 standards. Proper cooling is ensured by a low-noise 80 mm double ball bearing fan.

Presently the FSP Dagger SDA500 and SDA600 power supplies are officially on sale at the recommended price of $99 and $109. The company-issued warranty is 5 years.
