Motherboard ASRock Z87 Extreme6 (LGA1150 Platform) Review

Intel Z87 platform is masterfully penetrating into all global markets. ASRock is the company that has already managed to introduce a set of products based on this platform, including Z87 Extreme6 model. The very board is supposed to be an advanced solution for enthusiasts, containing all necessary for specific usage attributes: POST-indicator, a powerful VRM system with a massive heatsink, and a lot of other facilities mentioned below.

Design and Layout

ASRock Z87 Extreme6 is designed in ATX form-factor with 305x244 mm dimensions. Its top side accommodates a large number of components, while the reverse side revels in three driver-doublers (ISL6611A) of CPU power rails only. Intel Z87 chipset is cooled down by a voluminous heatsink. Spire Launches Ridge 6601 and Ridge 6602 PC Chassis

Spire has officially launched a new line of budgetary PC chassis, codenamed Spire Ridge. At the moment, there are only two models within the series – the Ridge 6601 and the Ridge 6602. Both are characterized by the support for ATX motherboards and have many other identical specifications: i.e. mid-tower form-factor, 192x415x418 mm dimensions. Still, there are some differentiations as well.

The first distinction between the two models lies in the frontal panel design. Therefore, Ridge 6601 features a laconic panel made of plastic without additional ventilation. In its turn, Ridge 6602 features a half-perforated metallic frontal panel that allows for a more intense cooling of internal components.

NZXT Source 530: a Spacious Chassis for Ardent Gamers

NZXT has just announced the release of a new PC chassis for gamers, entitled Source 530. The model belongs to NZXT’s Classic series and is designed in a Full-Tower form-factor, featuring 507x235x510.5 mm dimensions. The case is made of steel with an aluminum finish and a black paint. In accordance with the manufacturer, the chassis is ideal for a mighty gaming platform, due to a spacious internal layout and optimal airflow.

NZXT Source 530 supports various motherboards, including standard ATX, mini-ITX, micro-ATX, and E-ATX ones.
