Biostar Launches Hi-Fi Z97WE Motherboard for Audiophiles

Biostar, paying much attention to the needs of real audiophiles, has recently launched a new full-format ATX motherboard, entitled Hi-Fi Z97WE. As seen from the codename, the greenhorn is based on Intel Z97 Express chipset, showing compatibility with Intel Core i3/i5/i7 and Pentium processors (4th and 5th gen.) for Socket LGA1150. The model combines a variety of dedicated options, bringing multimedia experience to a new level. Despite the functional, the board comes at an affordable price of $143.



Biostar Hi-Fi Z97WE features 10-phase VRM subsystem and draws power via 24-pin ATX and 8-pin EPS connectors. The PCB accommodates four DIMM slots for DDR3 memory slots (up to 64 GB capacity), a pair of PCI-e 3.0 x16 slots, PCI-e 2.0 x1 and PCI slots. The Raijintek Metis Plus Chassis in a Fresh Design

Raijintek has released a new version of Mini-ITX chassis, called Metis Plus. There are several colour solutions of this specialty: red, black, silver, white, blue, green and gold. The motherboard plate, dust filter and other parts are black.



The framework is manufactured out of 1.5 mm anodized aluminum, 0.5 mm SPCC steel and acryl (the side panel window).


According to the specification, this chassis can hold four 2.5-inch and one 3.5-inch drives or two 2.5-inch and two 3.5-inch SSD/HDD and a 120 mm liquid-cooling system heatsink, which can be mounted only at bundled 120 mm backlit fan disassembly. The max size of the motherboard to be installed is 170 × 170 mm (Mini-ITX), of the graphics card – 170 × 160 × 40 mm, of the CPU cooler – 160 mm. The interface panel on the top has two USB 3.0 connectors, as well as headphone and microphone jacks. VivoPC X by ASUS Is a Small Desktop for Newbies Among VR-Gamers

The VivoPC X desktop computer by ASUS is not bigger than an Xbox One and weighs approximately 2.3 kg only, however, it’s a fully-featured PC, operated by Windows 10 and supporting VR. At the same time, it’s worth admitting, that the hardware is intended rather for beginners than for old hands at the game.



ASUS VivoPC X is equipped with a Kaby Lake Intel Core i5 CPU, Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 graphics card and 8 GB of RAM memory. The 512 GB SSD is used for data storage, and the connectivity possibilities are provided by four USB 3.1 and two USB 2.0 ports. In addition, this novelty features 802.11ac Wi-Fi, the Gigabit Ethernet, two HDMI ports and a DisplayPort with the NVIDIA G-Sync technology support.


Inner components of the device are protected from overheating due to the heat pipe cooling system and plenty of vents.


ASUS VivoPC X will be on sale in March 2017 at the price of $800.
